Yup, it's listed at 3,329. Blame the larger engine, transmission and brakes. The TTS/TTRS is the lightest of the MQB 4/5cyl AWD cars and the highest performers. The Audi RS3 is 3,4XXlbs

Love my Zupra so far. People ***** about the engine but the B58 is stout and wonderful. Rather have that than any current toyota engine. So many wonderful cars in history that have other manufacturers engines in them.

Well true - if it's Cummins Cosworth etc that are JUST engine guys that makes total sense. But when Mitsu uses an Handie or Subi uses Yoda is when I start to scratch my head. Now if the Zupra came with a 4G63 mounted longitude style and "a" z4 manual trans I may make an exemption lol.

The MK5 2.0 4cyl Supra already gets a ton of hate. Plus the 4G63 is a freaking dinosaur.

B58 is awesome, I honestly do not care at all it's not a Toyota engine. Again, what inline 6 Toyota engine would be a better fit in the Supra?

We all know the MK5 Supra would not exist if Toyota had to create a whole new engine as well. Plus, a whole new engine brings a whole bunch of what ifs. The B58 is proven and reliable.

No doubt.
Hyundai is on it too! It's like when
the horse and buggy were made obsolete 100 years ago by the auto.
Oil companies have had it too good too long. Wish H. Ford would have stuck with running on alcohol instead of petrol.

I thought we where? It just isn't out yet. 2023. Toyota has been teasing it in photos for awhile now...

Rolla GR is supposed to be coming because enough stink was raised in US about not getting the GR Yaris.
I wish we could have gotten the I30N from Hyundai instead of the Veloster N. Oh... but we get the Kona N because of our stupid obsession with SUV's even though it is a CUV. Even our own car companies **** us. ex. Fiesta ST.

Whoops, meant Yaris. Always get them mixed up. The Corolla will be cool but something about the shorter wheelbase makes the Yaris seem much more appealing.

I actually really like the looks of the Kona. Hyundai really dropped the ball not making the Kona N awd. You can get a regular Kona with AWD. No idea what they where thinking.

Like who is the Kona N for?

I really wish we got the Yaris GR as well. There would be one in my garage if we did.

The MK5 Supra has a shorter wheelbase than the Yaris GR by 3.6" if you can believe it.

Biermann, even though an icon in the industry, was concerned it would add weight, drive costs up too much and make it not as nimble/fun and less affordable.
Yes the Kona N-line has the AWD option with the 1.6L TGDI motor. If they would have made it AWD with the Smartstream 2.5L T from the Sonata N-line with direct and port inj. The new wet clutch 8 speed would have been fun. Maybe next roll around. We are fast running out of time for Dino car development.
Anyway Biermann retired with Hyundai. Be more an advisory roll now instead of engineering lead.
