Raybestos ST-43 used to be a go-to and still is what I use for auto-x & HPDE. I run those, titanium shims, and brake ducting. I wish I would have put in SS pistons when I rebuilt my calipers last time but oh well. Next time they need a rebuild they'll get replaced with radial mounts.

Sounds like he's running Valvoline DOT4 which is a parts store synthetic fluid, it's definitely not up to the task of track abuse. Also, brake fluid temps are in F, at 600C the brake calipers would be close to melting by the time the fluid is boiling lol. Also, another point that's often overlooked when comparing higher end fluids is compressibility, which definitely has a decent impact on pedal feel.

Anyone that says motul works well is either slow or on a go kart track.

Those hawk 5.0 pads aren't doing you any favors either. Get some real pads.
I run RBF600 in all my cars that see track use. Certainly not the best of the best but cheap and readily available at plenty of places compared to more exotic fluids. I don't think I'll ever need anything better for the Fit tho may step up to 660 for the evo or maybe try something else.

SRF actually costs me the same if not less because I don't have to bleed the brakes after every event. You can also get it on Amazon easily.

Can't go wrong with ST43 pads in the front. They last forever too.

Borrowed from ECS tuning website. A little weird the HP+ is shown with higher cof but I stand on that for autox while I just stab my 5.0
I read HPS 5.0 is low dust so that's not what I have. "Street/Race 5.0" is probably DTC-30?

which one is similar to ST43, for reference?

Here are the Raybestos. If you notice, the ST43's stay very stable across a wide range of temp, only starting to drop off after 1200F. They also don't eat your rotors as much as other track pads.

I actually drive with them to/from events. No issues.

Vicious, wait until you use the ST-43s at an auto-x. The first time I did I slowed down for the first turn, sped back up, and slowed down a second time because they worked so well compared to the Hawk trash I had been using. They've never come out of the car since.

Its probably like the "street/race" with bonus dust. :"Street/Race" is also night & day, had to adjust first few times. Grinding stoppage just backing off my driveway. I'll get some later if it has less dust and I would not need to buy sonax to clean my wheels lol. Looks like Hawk stickers are coming off. Thanks.

Be warned that the ST-43 (and other race compounds) can have incredibly loud squeal during street driving.

They're great on track, but if you drive the car on the streets you'll likely want to switch back to regular pads between events.

For AutoX, the ST43 doesnt come up to temp and has too much bite. Thats not a good thing when your abs is trying to modulate.

I switched around to a few different things and settled on XT10s being perfect for AutoX and intermediate track.

I have not had issues with temp but I live in Texas. Rotors have a nice purple sheen to them after every event. ABS doesn't seem to care about the bite and I really only light up ABS at course endings. Now, I'm not your level of prep but I would think that it would have shown itself worse on 255 street tires than 315 hohos.

From Tirerack's website

Not sure if DTC-30 or Street/Race 5.0 is discontinued. I cant say I agree with this chart. The HPplus doesnt have a bite at all, unless theyre swapping names/compounds
Anyone notice Hawk fluids have the same bottles as Motuls
