Time Attack Advice
Kevin, In case you want to come down, they just moved the TT after the enduro. Some chance of rain tho.

maann. everyone at the paddock blurted 'motul' (claims to be instructors who chose to live near the track, but just there to chitchat). I'll put srf after this weekend's TT. I was going to remove the 5.0 pads and switch to my old HPS (i know its not for TT duty, but its what I have) but the 5.0 pads finally stopped squealing after the TT
We also have track sprints prior to TT, what track day pads would you recommend? Thanks
We also have track sprints prior to TT, what track day pads would you recommend? ThanksMotul sucks. I ran it for years, then got faster and wondered why my pedal would always be soft. I thought I was just "too fast". Then I switched to real brake fluid. At the time that was Torque, now it's Castrol SRF. I used to bleed my brakes at every event, now I go multiple events before having to bleed and no soft pedal. Anyone that says motul works well is either slow or on a go kart track
so having stock brembos, how can i tell if its time to rebuild or change seals. I'll probably do that before the srf goes in
where to get the SS pistons and seals? thanks
this one?

Edward, stop looking on Ebay for parts that keep you from hitting walls or other people. SS pistons have low thermal conductivity aka they don't transmit heat well. You can buy them and replacement seals from Racing Brake. https://racingbrake.com/bm-41bsp
fwiw i switched back from the RB ss pistons back to normal. no complaints w either setup, but the stock al is fine IMO. ss pistons have low thermal conductivity but also when they get hot they really hold heat. i didnt notice any difference for temps or boiling/pedal feel etc.
redundant if you use TI shims, imo. i dont want to keep harping on this because everyone has already said it, so i'll just say again i'd only run srf in the evo. ive talked to way too many people who have boiled/had brake issues on track in their evos. it's worth it and lasts longer.

. The same people offloading parts in the classified are on ebay. just imagine all the guys who hated the brake squeal from their new race compounds...they just want 1/2 what they paid for.. a lot of people can fabricate shtuff. Funny names like 'Megan' can produce good products. MAPerformance, AWDTuning, FA, Insane Shafts, RacingBrake, theyre all in there. AND THE ITEMS ARE IN STOCK (probably overstocked). I buy a lot of random things for random hobbies/maintenance from different countries. Sometimes we use ebay watchlist as some reminder what to research/shop for.
