Pointless NTEC chat thread
Actually, this should be somehow superimposed with a photo of you showing how totally awesome you are driving your car on track days, drag races, autocrosses, or maybe even from a red light that has a curve mid-2nd gear. Oh wait, you are too worried about insurance to be concerned with driving your car how it should be, my bad!

The Mitsubishi Evo is built by expert engineers for the street. Daily driving. Period. End of story. Not for a track, drag strip, or anything that your non-expert opinion thinks.
I am not under any circumstance putting anyone down that chooses to race their car in some form or fashion. That's each persons decision and they have to live with any and all consequences. But your right, I will not race my car and jepordize my family's financial situation in case I wreck. Since you seem to thrive on daring people to risk their own money/lives, I dare you to dance in the middle of 635 in a black overcoat at 9 pm at night, or drive blindfolded thru a school zone while drinking a beer.
Regarding the picture of the Barbie jeep... I did that as a joke to poke at you for ragging on my hood struts and fenders which you claim are messed up.. Which aren't but whatever.

**** you Fat Tom, Big Tom, Slow Tom, Jiggly Tom, or whatever they call you today.

Perhaps you should learn some low speed high slip angle car control before you dismiss it. Fast hands are helpful at times.
As it karting and learning to drive a slow car fast. Makes it easier to drive a fast car faster

Rainbows, unicorns, and four leaf clovers.
Everybody calm down and be friendly. Keep your hatin' off the NTEC forum.
Anyways...
That build sounds pretty intense and exciting. Sorry for the ignorant question: Is the RA motor capable of handling the power produced by your parts? (I just don't know anything about the 10's) You will be well over 400whp (and 400tq?) on E85 and that seems pretty close to the edge. Kracka, Supraboy, KevinD, and Rmondo feel free to chime in because I know you guys are way more knowledgeable than me.
Most people know my response; save your money for some HPDE events. Chicks dig dudes that race cars way more than guys with dyno sheets. And some insurance providers even offer coverage as long as it isn't a timed event, like an HPDE.

So yeah, I've been doing some hardcore shopping and decision making as far as to a build I'm seriously going into doing really soon. But I don't wanna over-do "helper" parts, meaning I'm not going to go 2000cc injectors when 1200cc is fine. This is the build I have going, and its in my budget for the beginning of next year, but I want thoughts first:
EF3 Turbo/FP BB Green (I plan on a motor build in a couple of years, so I want to have the turbo already)
AGP/AMS/ETS Intercooler
Cobb Hard pipes
MAP DW300 Fuel Pump
MAP Downpipe
AMS Camshafts + Kelford Springs
MAP Shortrunner Manifold
1300cc Injectors (not sure brand)
RPF-1 17in
SSP 500hp clutches + seal kit (this was what SSP recommended)
Dual Tune for 93 octane and E85
Necessary parts will be ported and ceramic coated.
Anyone have ideas or suggestions? No matter how expensive, I cant seem to look away from the FP BB Green. Longevity is a big deal sometimes, let alone insane spool on bigger turbos.

That being said, I'll race you from a 60 roll.

oh. Then wow.
Very mature statement.
But you should take it to the track

I'm trying to convince tom to come out to a DE event to see the safety and such. And then hopefully convince him to bring his car out and have some fun.
