I know that the aerodynamics of the Evo X with the SSS wing work perfectly. There was a PDF from Mitsu that went into detail of the aerodynamics and part of it was about the SSS wing. I haven't seen anything in regards to the lip spoiler but personally I don't think it helps as much as the wing.

Mitsu does offer a thing called a gurney flap for the SSS wing. Jose, I think, is the only one that has one (that I recall). It's just a little strip of plastic that sits on the SSS wing and it's supposed to generate quite a bit extra downforce. It looks like this on the wing:

Given that, a lip spoiler would follow the same principle as the gurney flap. How much difference is there between the SSS wing and the lip spoiler? I don't know. It just "seems" to me that the wing would produce much more than the lip spoiler. I'm not an aerospace/airflow engineer so I could be completely wrong.

The lip spoiler does nothing aerodynamically, it's an aesthetics piece; the SSS wing adds ~200 lbs. of downforce @ 100 MPH, it's a performance piece.

Found it!

From Rexpeed:
The gurney flap creates 14kg more down force at speeds above 180km. These are OEM style gurney flaps made from ABS plastic. Comes painted and includes 3M adhesive. Fits Evo X wing only.

Basically more looks than anything else but it does produce drag albeit not very much.

Dont get rexspeed man... You will REGRET it.

As for the navi unit, navi isnt bad but not as good as a constantly updated navi unit.... Main reason I wanted it and have it is for not having a cluster **** inside the cabin. The window nor the dash needs to look like a law enforcement vehicle... I dont have gauges and have the BLITZ touch brain and my passport 9500 on the window and thats it. Navi not being updated is no biggie as the actual fixed address on the street does not change. If you cant find the X place type in their address and you still will be there. The music server is the best part of it, i dont have to have my ipod around (clutter, more clutter... no thank you) and just burn a music cd from itunes and put it in the car then it rips it and bam, no CD's either.

I had the navi unit on my 09 GTS and i loved it thus I have it on my 10 MR T. It just comes down to personal preference. It is what I wanted it and I do not regret paying the extra to have them. When it comes to my baby, its no compromises, i wouldnt have gotten it if I couldnt afford it all. You dont have to get everything at once, you can do it slowly like I am... Got the car in 2010 and by the end of 2012 i should have everything I want done. Engine bay dress up to 400s. 400s first, im thinking late January or February then I will do the finish up touches...

Rexpeed is hit or miss to be honest. From what I've seen across the 2 Evo forums, every CF maker has fitment issues with some of their stuff and it varies from batch to batch it seems. I have plenty of Rexpeed stuff on my car:

CF Hood Scoop
CF Hood Vents
CF Fender Vents
CF SSS Vortex Generator
CF Gurney Flap

The only things that I've really had a problem with is their CF Fender Vents and the CF Gurney Flap. As for the fender vents, the passenger side fit perfectly...the driver side, not so much but you can't really notice it unless you're looking specifically for flaws. The CF Gurney Flap is not perfect but that could just be me not putting it on right since I had to do it by myself. Again, you have to nitpick in order to see if something is wrong.

I don't regret any of my Rexpeed purchases but others will disagree. It's pretty much one of those situations where you "use at your own risk".

Use at your own risk explains it perfectly haha. I ordered 6 parts from them and only have 2 things that are on my baby now. The rest 4 were terrible. It could also be my luck which it always is... For hood/fender vents I am going with OEM black ones when the ones I have gets chipped as I wont be able to spray paint them anymore (too thick for fitment now and dont feel like filing them, too much work for re-do, AGAIN.).

Of you guys that have an MR, how much did you pay for it? What packages did yours come with? Don Herring has an SE, I'm seriously considering that.

I got mine in '10 august 28th from Lewisville Mitsu as it was the second Mr Touring with all the stuff that I wanted in it, the first one was being driven by Don Herring so I couldnt get that one :P.

Navi package, GZ package (now called interior for '12s, aluminum handbrake+shift knob and a lancer evolution writing under where the doors close. My brain isnt working on words, its working with numbers right now lol). 6 miles on odo for 43k. When I got mine mitsu had the 1k off and the rest was my dealer. With all that package it was 45.6ish.

SE is a mix between Touring and regular MR. Its a good call for the buck.

I got mine fully loaded, there was not an option I couldn't get. Sticker was $44610 I think, I got it in Jan 10. 2010. It was the first MR T Herring Plano got. Had 4 miles on it before I test drove it. I got it for 39,875 I think

The lip spoiler is a functional piece. Somewhere I have the literature from Japan where it goes through each of the pieces of the aero kit and notes out the CD and downforce figures by piece.

That having been said, the aero package is a PITA (front clearance, esp when parking, can be an issue, and the sill extensions have a reputation for not fitting well in the back, and are a pain to have to get around). If I were buying another X and had a choice between two equally optioned pieces save that, I'd opt for the non-aero.

I agree 100%, I wish I had not gotten it. My passenger side skirt is also about 3/4" lower than the driver side due to the hangers from the factory. I cannot get my jack under the passenger side but clears just fine on the driver side. Fender heights are the same. Even with stock height, the front lip catches a lot, lowered and it is cattle guard.

If you get a GSR never put a HD pressure plate in... you will buy a million CMC that never fix the issue.....

You have been warned

EvoD has dozens of customers running HD clutches with stock CMC's, several of which I know personally. I am running a HDG6 with stock CMC w/ AMS Ring just like the rest of them based on EvoD's success with this setup. Some are running HDSS, Spec 3/3+, etc. Have people had them fail, yup, but it isn't as often as the interwebs make it sound like.

That being said...I do have a backup stock CMC in my garage...

Same with Cobb, that's also their combo of choice.
