There are very few 2012 GT-Rs left.... maybe they're saying wait for the 2013? But a 09 can be modded easily to make the #s the 12 makes.
The 12 does have the new LC, and nicer suspension setup, but you're looking at 92k vs 62. Up to you if the 30k is worth it. Personally, if I were going to mod anyway, its not. Keeping it stock, i'd take the new one.

But really, I'd buy a porsche ;-)

Haha yea. I bought 3 cars brand new (was always scared to get used as they can be quite the headache...) so now I was thinking about going used and getting a GTR as mostly likely wont be as abused as another car so I thought it would be a good deal plus on the 09 i am looking at has 0 accident reports.

Number wise I really dont care about it that much as it is only a visit away to cobb and get higher numbers. The 2012 black edition is what I was initially planing on till today I got a call from the nissan dealership and told me to stop by as they had some info on GTRs... After 30 minutes, I am just a down payment and signature away from getting that 09... But like you pointed out the 2012 does have the new LC, and nicer suspension setup plus the black edition has AMAZING recaros inside (which I cannot say no to especially after having them, will be very hard to be apart). Not to mention the better aerodynamics and LEDs at the front bumpers (I am a sucker for LEDs lol) etc... I wont dish out 60k for it now though... So i might wait about 2 years to find me a 2012 black edition. I hate decisions but with this much money gotta be smart about it. I hate decisions...

Go '09 and use left over money and mod it. Jotech and Cobb have awesome power coming out of their GTRs. If I could afford one it would be at one of those two shops in a heart beat, but I can't cuz I'm a broke ***

I am damn torn about it... I think I am gonna go with finishing up my stage 3 as planned, hit 400s for 10k instead spending 40 (30 for car and 10 on mods) for now. I will wait till the 12 gtr black edition drops below 70k and get it, prolly in 2 years it will hit low 70s especially after 2013 and its spec got announced and ill make my move then. I might regret it but only one way to find out.

2 years is forever. you should start a new thread about this to continue this conversation. Spending all that money for 400hp is not the way to go. It's almost as bad as me putting a green on a 2.2L

I have an MR Touring and SST clutch pack with installation is almost 5 grand to begin with and another 4 grand for the other parts with labor (you could see which ones on the future plans link in my sig). I could easily hit 400s if I ran E85 but I want to break it on pump gas. I am just buying 1 piece at a time right now, since I wont be getting the GTR I can take my sweet time with it even more haha.

I am 1 signature away of getting a 09 GTR Black Premium 22k miles on it for 62k... Getting mix signals from others :S Some saying wait for 2012 some saying get it and mod it... I do want to wait for the 2012 but damn so close on getting a GTR... lol

Do what you want, but if you get that GTR... ask to see every documented oil change and service record.

Please explain how you get 400 to the wheels for 5K parts and labor? Not using Meth, NOS or something that blows the engine

Even if you go FP Black, which is not street able, that's $2000, cams are $1200 if installed properly with springs.

Full exhaust even a cheap one will cost $1500 min...

Fuel System will cost $800

You still have labor.. correct me if I'm wrong... that's $5500 plus labor And that's not a safe car at all.... No intercooler...no SST cooler. That's another $2000 installed.

I know your method of ECU flash would be free but there is still dyno time??

Its not hard to hit 10K or 15K for a really safe street able MR

I would ask that on any car, even the family SUV.

Hell, you can get in the mid-300's a little more than $1k!

On a MR, starting from stock, and doing it properly, it is easily 10k for 400s. Especially when you factor in that he wants to do clutch packs.

Mid 300's is simple, but sometimes we take for granted all the bolt ons and their cost because we spread it out over time.

I initially wanted to open one up in DFW area so it would be a great reason to move there but with a college town (fayetteville, ar) and having the only bar row street (Dickson St) the profit margin would be great during Friday and Saturday nights when open till 4/5am plus a lot of people do hit Dickson for lunch as it is only 5 minutes away from the middle of campus by walking. If everything goes as hoped soon enough might be able to open up another one in DFW area. I will have turkish food mainly hand held kind, for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doner . Very easy to produce, very fast service and very tasty. The best part of it all is that there are no other places that serves that here, in dallas they do one being Istanbul Cafe (they have 2 locations, 1 of em is being renovated at least was when I was down there but cant remember the addresses lol). I am in the process of finishing up the business proposal with all the fees... I tell you what though man... This is no where as easy I thought it was going to be, there are a gagilion things to keep in mind and you keep adding things on the financial subject of the proposal its insane lol.

Yea, it wont be a smart move to get an 09 GTR just yet, I will wait for the 2012 Black Edition or who knows if the business picks up might pull of a new one, maybe the 2013 :P

My stage 2 cost me 6 grand with labor. I am going the very safe way when it comes to modding. Even though I have 312/330 i have ams FMIC and the SST cooler which the OEM ones are just fine but I know how PITA modding can be thus I go as safe as I possibly can which is why I am DONE after stage 3. 400s as DD = fantastic. Next step is the GTR.

Granted an MR is a bit more due to cooling issues and clutches, I always seem to forget some men drive automatics!

Hell, if I hadn't purchased my SX exhaust I have then the EBCS, intake, and OpenPort would have only cost me $500, the price of an Cobb AP. If I would have gotten a straight pipe single exhaust and left the O2 housing where it sits, it would have only cost me say ~$800-$1200.
