This is true. Old time mechanics would do this, they would let the car rest at high angles overnight on the lift to get out bubbles. FYI I successfully bled my evo's clutch with the front on my oil change ramps with the vacuum speed bleeder. Also anytime you work on clutch/brakes take a pair of needle nose vice grips, wrap a rubber line closest to the slave or caliper with cloth, and pinch it off to limit how much fluid escapes while you are servicing the part. This DOES NOT damage a good rubber hose as I've been doing it for years and never had a problem.

The Northeast region seems to mesh up against our midwest region. I'm unsure if you Northeast guys have a regional evo forum or not, but if so please PM me. www.midwestevos.com is builing a regional evo network.

What's up guys? Any of you locals driven an Evo with a Fidanza clutch? My time has come and I'm liking the 3.2 Fidanza clutch / flywheel. Kind of in the middle in price between an ACT and Exedy Twin.

Some suggestions...

I can grab a Fidanza 3.2 clutch and flywheel combo for $965 shipped.

Or an ACT HDSS w/ Streetlite Flywheel for roughly $700 at best I've seen.

Then there's just the Exedy Single Stages 1-3 from $600-$1,000.

I don't have the extra $500-$600 for the Exedy twin under any circumstances. That money's going towards the install. What would you get?

Thats a tuff one. I'd say if you have the extra money go for the fidanza. If you want to save a few bucks go with the ACT. I would have gone ACT if not for the twin. Either way i bet you won't be sorry. I would imagine tho that the fidanza is alittle more touchy in traffic.

My buddy Big T just installed an ACT 2900lb. with flywheel , Actually me him and his one homie were droppin the tranny bout 3 weeks ago , he likes it. Its cheap and it will be enough clutch for your setup Brian. Its the most economical and will get the job done, but it will be a bit heavier and a bit more touchy.

the only one i have experience with is the exedy single. it was the one from the clutch and flywheel combo package from gruppe-s.

long story short, i ended up getting beat on their flywheel and got a prostreet instead, but i was pretty satisfied with how the clutch felt to drive.

it took some getting used to, pedal pressure was alot more than stock, but not unmanageble. i really liked having the 10.5lb flywheel though.

I have the ACT HD kit that I never used. I am thinking of going for the Exedy twin disk instead and would need to sell it. Give me a call and maybe we can work something out if you are interested. It's brand new but I wouldn't expect the price I paid for it.

By the way, those with a 360, buy the game Bioshock. Single player, in my opinion, is more fun than Halo. Only downside is there is no multiplayer. I've played through it about 7 times now and still can't put it down.

Same here... Hey btw i saw you jumped into that game. I would have said something but i was in a private chat with my one buddy.

As for Bioshock, yeah it is alright. I am more of a multiplayer kind of guy, so i like COD4, halo, gow, madden and etc.

hahah yeah, that is understandable. Just add your friends in the lobby at first, and the join the matches. Typically you don't have to quit and look for others as it automatically does it. I think it is pretty sweet.
