Brian your about 10 minutes from me as well give or take. We should seriously try and get together and crash the Norwin Hills car cruise. They are every saturday evening all summer long. Its actually a large turnout but not many imports kinda like the starlight cruise. But if we could get a decent group together it would be a good place to crash and chill

 

That Mike that bought my black Evo is in our area - I see him all the time and have talked to him.

Vince with the gray Evo and his Dad is building one with a 30R (I believe) - not sure where they live, but their shop is out our way too. I'm pretty sure it's in the Murrysville area somewhere.

 

I'm down. I usually try to make it up there each week just for me and the wife to stroll through.

Sounds good. He should consider atleast doing a shortblock. If he truly wants to bring out the potential of that turbo and put it into the sweetspot on it. It will be putting the stock bottom to the test.

I know alot of people are making nice power on the stock bottom. But It dont make sense to have such a stout turbo and not push her where she likes to go.Remember that HTA35R is in its efficiency range at 30+ psi up to 40 psi.

At 30 psi that turbo is capable of producing 550whp on Buschur's dyno. That power will break a stock bottom end sooner than later. Oh and 30 psi is doable on pump gas sooo.

He should just consider it thats all.

But sounds like fun none the less
