What would it do if you put the cat back on the car? That code could mean many things. The whole sensor could be shot. The wiring could be cut, shorted, etc... Or I know someone with a X kept getting O2 sensor codes because he had a defective MAF sensor. P0420 is the usual catalyst efficiency below threshold BS that you get for running catless. My guess is the mechanical fix is doing it's job correctly. You have another issue.
If its something you want its easy to add and all it takes is a quick reflash and done.
Are any of you guys attending the Cabela's meet/show Monday?
Edit: just noticed Posey075 mentioned it....
There are already over 1,000 cars registered! I must say the coolest car I saw last year was a twin turbo T-bucket, externally gated. That thing sounded sick when WOT.
Might of had something to do with them being fully exposed.
I just like to see a few more ppl with evos show up. I roll up with the DSM crowd. Having the only evo there is kinda cool but sucks at the same time.
I wish more ppl would show. Hell, half of the time is spent getting **** faced with the VW guys at Applebee's in the morning.

Also w/ the sim you can remove the rear O2 altogether and put a resistor in the heater circuit to keep from throwing that cel and still could pass emissions if they ignore the visual aspect
You can disable it as well through the periphery but the sim is much better because you don't have to worry about reflashing prior to inspection.....it will show up as test complete even though it serves no purpose other than visual.

Or if you want the tephra patch which gives you knock light, NLTS, valet, etc the rear sim is built in to that - so its up to you whichever way you choose.
