Should be pretty straight forward, installing the test pipe will be easy (thanks to Turco fixing my ECU!) and the springs I think will be easy enough. I'm just having a super hard time figuring out what I want. I want to get rid of my wheel gap without sacrificing my handling.

Also, moved my gauges today and hard wired my V1. MUCH better! Text me if you want to see a pic, they are in the perfect position.

just got back from circuit city and i was not impressed by the deals at all. The tv i wanted was the same price as Amazon has it normally and Amazon has free shipping and financing. I will wait to see when CC is almost closed to see when stuff is really marked down.

Yeah you're really not gonna find anything great until the month or so (March) of the liquidation. They start out by hiking up prices then slowly dropping them down to about 60-70%.

that would be awesome man! i'm thinking a samsung 32 or 37 lcd. i would probably be happy with 720p to be honest, but would consider a 1080p.

This is not really true. dont forget the car is setup for a specific suspension geometry. Lowering can throw that off and cause it to handle worse.

obviously what i said is not universally true, but as a generality - a lower center of gravity means better handling. also i think most evo springs are designed with handling in mind. my overall message tho is that the swifts are a no brainer. they are a reasonable drop, cheap and definitely improve the handling. there are other brands that would be good as well im sure, but i know the swifts are awesome.

Show me a pic. I'm gonna move mine soon and I'm probably gonna install them in the same spot you did. Right now mine is only blocking the fuel gauge but I wanna move it over more.

this came out better than the shot on my cell phone.

Better lighting:

I pretty much mounted the out side part of the bracket on the same line as the stalk for either the wiper or blinker. If you don't know what I mean I can take a pic looking down. But I kept them on that line, angeled slightly inward. They are still perfectly visable but out of the way of the rest of the gauges.

Hope it helps man!

there are a lot of springs out there that are for looks, eibachs, teins, ect. I find suspension to be the most complicated thing about cars which i consider saying a lot. Spring rate vs dampening rate, caster, camber, toe in, toe out. I understand what they are but not how to optimize them. i truly think suspension tuning is an art form because unlike tuning a car to be the best you have to tune it according to the driver.

What would you guys like to know about the Swifts? I have run them both (Sport and Spec R).

All I want to know is do they maintain good handling. I don't want to get new springs to lower my car and end up sacrificing handling.

I didn't even see them, I hate that photobucket is blocked at work.

I can "see" the holes because the inside part of the gauge is right near them, but I can't actually see them when I am driving. Nor do I care that they are there.
