she was negative for the flu. i've never seen news vans pack up so fast. she was discharged same day.
gotta love the media hype. nobody here actually cared as much as the general public did.

I was setting up things for the new house so I was on Verizon's website trying to order FIOS.
I was nearly set to complete my order when "vincent" chimed in on an IM box asking if I needed help. I ask a simple question about DVR and was satisfied with his answer. He kept badgering me to talk to him about the services. So, I asked him about all the taxes on my bill and how much I could estimate it to come out to be. It was around 165/month. I am not a cheapo but that is more than I pay with Comcast for 3 services instead of the 2 I was ordering from Verizon.
I asked him about it and he went into this whole thing about how there are additional discounts that aren't listed and I won't see them until my bill comes. Yeah right! I wanted to ask him if he were located in Nigeria but opted with an "Thanks. I was under the impression that FIOS would benefit me financially over Comcast but that has proven to not be the case considering I get 3 services for less. I am glad you caught me right before I finalized my order or I would have found myself unhappy with a much larger commitment."
He ruined his own sale. I was hook, line and sinker until he got me thinking critically.

COMCAST is on the come-up with their new DOCSIS 3.0 platform.. 50 megabit service is already being implemented. The HD quality still cannot touch FIOS though due to compression, but I am guessing customers that are utilizing DOCSIS 3.0 might have less compression on their HD.. Don't be so quick to abandon comcast, the CSR's are pushovers and you can strike gold by complaining! 
BTW comcast HD quality **** the bed about a year and a half ago and never came back due to the addition of more hd channels..I am thinking of switching back from direct tv as soon as docsis 3 is in my area.

This reminds me of Boiler Room, when Giovanni Rabisi schools the salesman on how to make a sales call. I've never seen either one of them...
I have FIOS, I got it as soon as it was available. Its cheaper for me and the service is better to me. Don't get me wrong I've still had issues, you always will no matter who you have. Overall, I'm much happier than I was (I hated comcast) and I would recommend it to anyone.
