Actually BSP is no joke too, I get my *** handed to me when I travel, these guys are on a whole different level compared to local competition.
I can't speak for the other guys but I know I'm no where near ready to take this circus on the road yet. I wanna win my class in the philly region and gets me one of them yella jackets first.

Yes it does Marc

Mike I don't expect to be in the running for any class if traveling does ever happen. I just need to focus on the guy behind the wheel. I know any class, either BSP or SM is crazy competitive on the national scene, but I may as well settle down in a class that my car currently falls under. There are definite upgrades my car needs from a drivability standpoint and just making it an all around more balanced vehicle is on the menu.

Seat time, seat time, and lil more seat time and maybe one day I can be graced with the talent to consider myself competitive.

Again thanks for the opinions on the pad setups. Right now I feel like I'm putting my foot through the floor and the car feels like it just rolls to a stop. I don't like the feeling of sitting around and waiting for the car to decelerate enough before hard corner entries. I know gross exaggeration there but you get the point.

When was the last time you changed your brake fluid? I bet if you went to Pep Boys, got the big bottle of Syn Power and bleed the **** out of your brakes, you would have a different opinion of your brakes. That is assuming you have some pads left.

Good luck with your car, I am sure it will be loads of fun when you are done. Seat time is the key always, seat time seat time, say it with me!!

Oh yea------------------------GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to pick up a case of some Octoberfest beer, some wings and some other party materials for tonight in about 10 minutes! I am pumped!

Marc, I was just reading about those Carbotechs... they don't recommend the XP10 for street use at all. Strictly a track pad. You plan on running them on the Evo for DD? Are you familiar with any of the other compounds? Maybe I'll just go with the Bobcat or PantherPlus...?

Chuck, its not nice to talk about the mans wife like that. Thats one of the lines that should not be crossed...

It's all very deceiving looking into these things. Individually they all seem very respectable in price, then you start hitting that add to cart button... and your face tends to make this expression -->

Looking at rotors, those rotorpros are crazy cheap for a full set. Is that something you really want to go that inexpensive on. Wondering if there is a quality tradeoff compared to some powerslots or the other available options. Following Pete's concern too, the carbotech's appear as a full race pad, yay or nay.

I'm sure some of you have seen jid2's progress on his car, if not I would check out his build thread. Guy has a lot of good ideas and a lot of time spent in fabricating pieces for his car. I'm hoping that with the continued progress on my senior design project I can use the knowledge I'm picking up in composite manufacturing to turn around on the car for some one off pieces like he is doing. Ugh can't wait until graduation and the huge time drain school places on the "fun" things you have to push aside is finally gone. 7 MONTHS left of 5 years.

Side note, I went to look at my total class completion list over the last four and a half years, made we want to vomit. 180 credits and rolling at this point, wondering how much more I can cram in.

I followed Pete home on Sunday.......He doesn't want my brake pads But seriously the et800s are great for the track and do well on the street. Mine are pretty loud, but I need to install shims. Hopefully they will be a lil quieter.

SS brake lines were a nice upgrade, really improved pedel feel.

Engine roll stopper was another good one.

The only thing I plan on buying is new rotors this winter, the rest is going towards track time, tires, mortgage, utilities, maybe another tooth

you're right they don't recommend them for street use, but after using them on the Z06 I have more then enough confidence in their ability to handle it. they have a TON of bite when cold. compared to the ds2500's Im running now its bigger then a night and day difference. When I get them on next year sometime I'll let you see for yourself.

don't be scared of rotorpro's, I have been using them for years with great results.
They are the only drilled rotor I've never cracked.

RotorPros are fine. They're not going to warp or crack if they are install correctly and wheels torqued right. Yes, there is a quality tradeoff as far as material goes, but your not that hard on the rotors in autox let alone on the streets. My DBAs has temperature markings on them, and I haven't even heated the rotors enough to the lowest heat grade. If you are looking to do new pads, lines, fluids, and rotors, talk to Pistol about the Stoptech package, but get the Axxis Ult pads instead of the Hawks. I would even run the Pepboys rotors if I was on a budget...can't beat oe with coats hats and straight vances for $70/rotor!

what I said above is a little misleading, I wouldn't recommned drilled rotors at all. I bought drilled rotors years ago and they are the only set left that hasn't cracked on me. If you're going with rotors I would do either blanks or slotted, but not drilled. I still have the drilled on my rears only cause the back doesn't see much braking force.

In my z06 earlier this year I cracked all four of the $150.00/corner drilled that come on the car. thats with brake cooling ducts too, check it:

replaced them with $30.00 rock auto soild blanks and the only difference I notice is less money outta my pocket.
