What do you guys think is the best BOV? I'm really looking for one that is quite loud. I was looking either between the HKS SSQV or the Synchronic BOV. Thoughts??

Umm, MAFs dont like vented bov, so make sure you get the recirc kit if you buy the HKS. I will have one for sale if you're interested.

I run an uncirculated HKS. Yes it will stall occasionally at best if uncirculated. At worst it's constant and downright dangerous. My Evo has been able to do it up until now but most aren't so lucky. The downside since you're looking for sound is that any BOV recirculated isn't as loud. My opinion is to get one that works well and doesn't make your car run like a turd. Sound would be a distant second selling point for me. A recirculated HKS would be a good choice. I only vent since I'm mostly speed density at this point and the MAF will be off once I finish the tuning. Tial also makes a recirculated version of their BOV that's top of the line, but the thing is pretty big and costly. The Tial non recirculated BOV I've seen work well on several Evo's. I had one, and now my friend has it in his. We both only had very minor RPM drop and I've read similar things from other people. There's no guarantees though.

I like the Forge units, have had mine 3+ years with no problems. Last year I replaced the springs on all my Forge stuff (BOV, MBC, WGA). When I called for springs, someone at Forge took care of me and just sent me some of the springs for free (some of them broke when I disassembled units because they were rusted). I think Forge has great customer service too.. My .02

Don't worry about what it sounds like, the Colonel is right, worry about what works. VTA usually doesn't work right when you are running the MAF on the stock ECU. You need to run a recirculated BOV with that set up.

Forge has a lifetime warranty on all of their products.

We are their master distributor for the Evo so if anyone needs something fast at the best pricing, let us know.

Two most popular valves for the Evo are the recirculating Forge Evo15 valve and the Forge RS valve offered in both black anodized and polished aluminum. Made from billet aluminum on a 5 axis CNC machine in the UK.

As for rolling fenders, I would say Robi or go to LIP Collision. R/T Tuning sends all of their customers there...and how could you go wrong with a body shop to roll fenders.
If you have a mint pass side you better swap with me or sell it to me, you know what mine looks like and if you are painting it anyway you ARE obligated to give it to me since your driver side is the one thats messed up anyway

From BOV's Id say mine is the loudest. Turbosmart Dual Port. Its been holidng up well and its a LOT louder then a HKS with the intake on.
Literaly can be heard from over a block away, if not more.

Pricey, but a lot better. Never had a problem with it either.

Jeez, i saw a R33 skyline 4 door today earlier.
It blew by me, and I was in my newly acquired honda civic hatchback ( bought for laughs and giggles).

I couldn't catch up man!
I need v-tec. I have a non-vtec LS swap in it.
Damnit!

LOL.

I cant believe I wasted 2k on this car. Slow as *****. Oh well, no traction in 1st and chirp into 2nd is fun. My friends wants to buy it off me too already.

The aps twin vent is supposed to work REALLY well, I hate my forge rs with a passion, it sounds ok I guess. But it surges wayyyyyyy to much for my liking. Partial throttle surging that is.

IS ANYONE HIRING FOR PART TIME? K1tt3n5 needs a job as of January 19th. Let me know please.
