I think its possible. How many DD miles get put on your car. less than 5000 I would say your good. If you do a track day then maybe not.

What size?

Less than 5k for sure... I'm sure I'll join you at Pocono at least once this year, plus all the autox I can fit in. I'm sticking with 17's and going to 255's.

I may end up just going with the StarSpecs as the NT-01's don't have enough depth to really handle any water. They look like they would have awesome grip in the dry though...

I want the NT-01s but...........

they wont last as long as the Z1s
they are more expensive than the Z1s
and they are not that much stickier.

I love my star specs, but if I had 9.5" rim I would get wider tires. IMO

I thought they stopped making the NT-01s for some reason! I think the Khumo Ecsta XS and Z1s are a great performance compromise for the price. Also been hearing a lot of good things about the Hankooks. I prolly would do the z1 myself. What about the toyo r888 or ra-1?

I believe they did at one point, and then brought it back.

Do you still need that IX battery cap?
I bought the Bonehead Performance one. It looks to be an exact copy of the B&M. Same size and shape. Got the base bushings from them too but they are Speed Source. I got a battery cap. I completely forgot about the stuff I asked you for, I haven't been on TST since October. Feels good haha

I had the small ralliart knob since I bought the car, and wanted to go to a short shifter too. Recently I put the CF knob on and it's a good bit taller. It just feels better all around shifting with a taller knob but the same throw. I'm going to make some solid shifter bushings eventually to tighten things up but I'm glad I didn't do the short throw.
I just want to rant and tell the original owner of Johnnyangels evo to f off for all the lying he did about the car. Every time I work on something, it turns into a problem because something is broken or was modded or removed already. I noticed the T-case had some RTV sealant patches at the separation seam, so I decided while the trans was out, I would take it apart and find out why. Turns out something slammed into the tcase and dented/cracked it. The damage is pretty bad and they just jb welded it, then RTV sealed it. It's nasty but fixable. Kind of a douchy thing to do.
You probably could. Just make sure you put a step on them so they notch into the base housing.

my .02

nt01's work well for what you want to do, but daily driving would heat cycle them to a quick death. even with our awd I wouldn't want to run them in the wet. just imagine what it would be like getting caught on 95 coming home from an event in a down pour!

what I would do in your shoes is keep all season tires on those winter wheels for daily duty and get some a6's on the other wheels. that will net you the best performance @ the autox and you can still use the all season tires for pocono. its a PITA, but if you want to get the quickest times you need the best tire and to run that tire you're going to need to change rims before each event.

Thats what i have are the kumho ecsta AST. They have worked just fine for me. They are also pretty good in the snow as well.
