Yeah this is absurd man. But you know how it works. Mods get all power happy and think they can do w/e they want. I understand they need to enforce the rules, but its to the extent where its just pissing people off. I mean comon, five points for what? a sarcastic comment about getting rid of some rotors. People are going to scam people no matter what. What good are the rules if they dont even work? Honestly if your buying something over the internet and you get scammed....im sorry but its your own damn fault. You have to understand the risks and go about things in the proper way. Whenever you buy something online there is always a risk of getting scammed. We have a nice thread going on in here and have never had any problems. Now all this **** is going on and what? people are on the verge of being banned?

We're here, KINDLY asking that people follow a simple rule, but some what to push it after we've asked NICELY and we're the ones who think that we can do whatever we want? I know some like to kick and scream over anything and make something out of nothing, but this is growing beyond foolish.

Im not saying that you, as a mod, is going around doing whatever you want. I understand you have a job to do, and are obligated to help enforce the rules. But i have come across so many threads that have been closed for no reason. Due to the fact that something that was a "re-post" of something 5 months prior, or a generally good question that has been asked only to be closed out with "search". Personally i think the search engine sucks and its impossible to find what you are looking for.

Just out of past experiences i believe that mods abuse their power. Im not saying that its you particularly, but just from what i have come across with past forums that i have belonged to. I understand that stuff needs to be in the for-sale section, but in this thread it just seems so useless. We all know each other and would rather give our parts to our friends then to some random person. Were just asking if someone is interested in some parts. I have yet to see a post from one of the members in this thread posting pictures of parts, giving an asking price, and running it like an auction. Most of the time its along the lines of "hey, i have this laying around is anyone interested?". Were just friends trying to help each other out.

 

I don't care about the infraction points, just the fact that I never posted anything for sale. I was merely replying to someone asking if I got rotors from my sponsor, and all I said was that I already had rotors, unless some took them off me. I dont understand how I could be accused of posting something for sale. Brian, I think you may have laughed when you saw I jokingly used the word "adopt."

I can make the arguement over technicality and what not, but I dont care. I think a pm with a warning would have been more appopriate, given my clean record on this forum. I discussed this with another mod for a second opinion, and he seemed to agree, so whatever. Obviously, bans are discussed, but not infraction points. And since they dont expire, I'll start counting down to the day I get banned!

On a side note.....I just had the Vertical Epic from Stone(22oz). Its a nice thick, dark ale with hints of chocolate and vanilla. If anyone comes across it, id recommend picking it up. Its def an enjoyable beer.

damn, i havnt posted in a few days and all the sudden the chuster is in trouble with infraction points, mods are jumping in, wtf is going on guys? we have a nice thread BSing back an forth between evo friends, im not sure what is wrong here that would need mod intervention but hey, i understand that from their POV they are simply upholding the rules of the forum. seems like we cant do anything nowadays, that is why i spend most of my time on "other" evo based forums started by another vendor on this forum where the rules are more relaxed.
