Rant

On my way home just now, this old man came flying up on me from no where.. I was already doing about 8mph over, he proceeded to ride my a$$ to the point where I could no longer see his headlights. So I brake check his a$$, he almost hits me, has to swerve into the other lane to avoid me, he doesn't get the hint, repeat process 3 times until I actually stop in the middle of the road (I'm such a dick). We exchange plesantries (in the mirror) in multiple times... Finally we get to a red light where he's turning and I'm going striaght, I roll down my window, as does he, then he tells me how us kids in our "tuner" cars think we're so fu(king cool... Tells me to go "effe myself" and speeds off... WTF? I wanted to choke this old man so bad... He was literaly in his 70's, at least he looked like it.

End rant.
I used to fight a lot, but I grew out of that too.

Nice story. you're lucky his old *** didn't ram into you when you brake checked him. He reflexes have to suck. Good think you didn't have the carbo's in or he'd be in your backseat, lol.

You've got to take these old people with a grain of salt sometimes. IMO their perspective on things are usually way off. They think in generalizations and stereotypes... so if you're driving around in a car with a wing you're a punk kid. If you were driving around in a BWM you'd be a rich punk kid. Either way you're a punk kid for not blocking traffic while you pulled his old *** out of the car and made an example of him.

I love the brake check. I don't go overboard with Evo, but I brake check the hell out of people in the Audi. The Audi would destroy most modern car bumpers.

Kenny, I do and I did, thats why he didn't get his a$$ kicked. Fooking old man...

Marc, my steel toes would have made an example of him real quick... Also, Carbo's and Snow Lions just don't go together... Excessive ABS would be the order of the day.

Chu, for Chau... His boy Kobi and the moveable rear wing.

The old man just wasn't getting the hint. I even had a car infront of me half the time. Where did he think he was gonna go...

Did I mention he was driving a Windstar?

i brake check. it's my signature move. i actually got some jerk woman sideways. i run centric rotors and hawk hps in the corolla and you'd think i have the most aggressive track pads on it. my goal is to get the evo to stop like the corolla.

i get just as annoyed as pete describe by other people's aggressive driving but when you step away from the moment where you just want to murder someone you realize that you probably have a lot better of a life than that ******* messing with you.

Robert was in awe of your brake checking this weekend. He said "Jesus, those brakes are awesome" or something to that effect.

For reasons I don't understand I've become more of an angry driver the older I get. I used to be a mouthy sum***** out of the car but drove like a friendly old lady. Somewhere along the road the roles reversed. My wife says I "scare her" when I start yelling at people. Pfft.

one of the things that bothers me about people's aggressive driving is that they do it with their kids in the car and they teach them to be selfish jerks and that if something goes wrong or not their way that they should blame the other person. when i was growing up my parents taught me to behave myself and be polite. so are the majority of people still teaching that and acting like rude *******s or has our cultured turned to one that only cares for number one and teaches kids to worry only about themselves and **** everyone else?

(i'm aware of my wonderful grammar and writing skills.....it's really diarrhea of the brain at this point)

all of his threads are closed. his username was something like builtS13 or driftS13 or something like that. what a tool.

brake checking...umm makes me nervous dont want to have anyone hit me.

i remember this one thread where a guy said someone was messing with him on the road and tried to hit him. it was suggested that he carry a handgun and wave it at the driver to get him to chill. it is people like that that make me scared of gun owners in this country. and this coming from someone who has there CCW license...

damn kids

edit: his username is BuiltS13, but its now disabled and for good reason. I think his latest thread about hella flush wheels got closed

yeah, I don't want my car wrecked again, so I don't brake check... usually... unless I'm in my truck... and not with the kids.

I've said it many times already, but idiot drivers are my #1 pet-peeve. if people would just follow the damn rules driving would be so much more enjoyable. instead you have *******s who think they own the road and don't take any of the other drivers out there into consideration.

I think maybe why I like driving on the track so much is because its the exact opposite of what you encounter on the street. instead of selfish drivers who don't let anyone by and are oblivious to the rules of the road you have experienced racers obeying all the rules and allowing traffic to flow.

you should ride with me on my 100 mile daily commute. today there weren't many people on the road on my way in and out but i still managed to have major issues getting down major roads like 95 because people just drive in whatever lane they wish. on my way home there was this dude in a BMW 335i sedan in the left lane on 476 fluctuating between 50-60 mph because he was on his phone and doing whatever else in the car. there was absolutely no one in front of him but when i go to pass him on the right suddenly we're both doing 80mph until i'm into the car in front of me then he slows back down to 50-60mph again. (i can't over take anyone in the corolla and don't care to wind it up hard....it's had a hard life). people like that have serious social and ego issues.

had i been driving the evo i probably would have driven next to him as he accelerates then just hammer it past him at the last minute because after day after day of driving the corolla i turn into the world's biggest ricer when i get in the evo.

(apologies for the walls of text of nothingness but i haven't posted all that much and need to keep my position in the post race).

Yes! and Yes! I feel safer on the course/GRID/Paddock than on a public road. I remember Clarkson saying something to the effect, you can judge a person's interest in driving by what they drive. A Prius driver has no interest in cars or driving, hence a hazard to everyone on the road!

so has anyone in here gone from the stock 8 turbo 9.8 hotside switched to the 10.5? seems to be a relatively simple and cheap upgrade is I can find one, providing me with a little more power while I toss in an 02 housing, without having to go bigger turbo and deeper into my pockets. still hoping for a litre bike soon

Can't agreed with you on it being simple. Cheap is also relative.
