Yes and yes. Kinda wanna do a silicone intake pipe... may even do one and still run the stock box.

Time to mess with the Pittsburg thread!

I'm still on the stock intake pipe, but no box. The Samco or Perrin silicone pipes are nice, don't know if they have the ability to retain the stock box though. Dejon Tools and PPI are the only two companies I know of that makes a hard pipe that allows you to maintain the stock box.

I'm pretty sure the HPS (ebay special) retains the stock box.

I think Mark has some extra Perrin intake bits IIRC.

Marc had a couple but he sold them all.

I recently put the OEM intake tube back on my car and noticed much better low speed driving characteristics even with the S2 cams. I plan to put the buschur maf pipe back on and see if that changes things at all.

Thats one of things I didn't like about running an intake. Car drove like crap at times, esp when the engine was loaded and I took the load off, ie pushed in the clutch. Always wanted to almost stall... Thats why I was thinking of running just the silicone tube w/stock airbox. Just a thought...

Doesn't sound anything like an intake issue to me.

Yay! another tool in a mustang to beat next year! They always complain about us rich kids in evos. lol At the same time, most of them have spent more on their cars than me AND their mods are ricier.

I get this as well. My car actually has stalled. The tune really cleaned that up, but it still does it occasionally. Thought about building a simple heat shield.
