Today was awesome. I think my best was an 88 clean run. I can't wait till Warminster. I have a lot to learn but the evo seems to hide some of my driver flaws. Nice meeting some of you guys that I haven't met yet.

Best part though...mini-bar per Daniel's trunk.
You mean Moira's trunk.

i found it funny that everyone was saying that i ran better today because i wasn't driving my car. to me, it was the course. i planned to take it way easy on tim's car and just be happy to be out there. i would have driven my car just as hard if not harder.

also tim's car felt good. there are some things i wish he had that i have but then i feel wish i had some things he has.
No problem Dan, I'll be sure to get you back when I get to co-drive your car! Actually, I'm just glad you weren't afraid to give my car a good run. You weren't going to do anything I wouldn't do. I liked getting the extra looks around the course with a co-driver, even if I wasn't driving. Those high speed sweepers were a blast.

Looks like I may have to come to more of these things. Each time I go, I like them more and more.

Definitely a fun course, but I drove like crap. One of those days that I knew exactly what I was doing wrong, but I just couldn't put it together. To add insult to injury, I flew in the afternoon, and had a real ugly landing.

I took Shane along as an instructor for three of my runs. He co-drove the white STU STI in the first heat with Josh. He did a great job instructing. We spent about ten minutes after each run discussing everything. Easily the best instruction I've had at an AutoX.

Course was great today, I loved all those sweepers. Nothing is better in an Evo than on-throttle steering, love having that bish floored and the *** end coming around totally in control.....its my happy place! There was also some challenging pinch spots, like the 3 turns before the finish. If you were not looking ahead and not braking early on this course you paid the price, really hammered it home. I totally got caught fixating on the gate/cone that I was coming up on and not looking ahead, Aaron totally screamed at me to slow down and not blow bye a right turn, totally ignored him and was 10' off the cone. That was the right before the 2 lefts to the finish, I never did that right until the last run which ended up being my fast time. The crossovers from lot to lot were much fun too, we were really hammering it through there.
Buying used, lots of searching, and a little luck = fun right out of the box. I'm amazed how good this car is with minimal tweaking. There's plenty left to do, but I couldn't have found a better starting point

BTW, next time I'll reach over and slap your helmet I should have said "look right" instead of slow down or brake. You had it figured out on that last run, though!

the warminster events might be closer to you. there may even be a chapter closer to you or you could even join the north new jersey region....not that you aren't welcomed to run with us in the philly region if you want to make the drive.

yeah man, this is shaping up to be a fun year. I just hope I can keep up with you and your car.

Here's an idea...you drive the BMW like you were supposed to, and I use your A6 for an event or two? I'll paid for ware and tear!

I had installed new pads the day before. My rotors were in a purple/blue hue from the autox. I saw a few other getting some heat also...like Marc, the Agile Auto guys with the wrx, etc. We're so JDM!

I had WAY too much fun in my car yesterday to drive the BMW again (unless its non-comp).

How about you either co-drive my car or we throw my tires on your car.
