Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
Those with exedy twins, has anyone experienced their clutches feeling weird out of nowhere? I drive like a Nancy too and it started feeling weird (it's hard to describe but I could elaborate if needed) at the Dover autox. Josh and I bleed the line with no improvement. Then Josh felt it was the clutch master cylinder going (since the X cmc's break easily) so I converted to a ix cmc. I still have the same weird feeling and it is hard to drive lately.
Tim, said to launch it a few times. Lol. And that may make sense since it isn't designed for Nancy style driving.

On friday! I'm in Allentown at the moment!
Ben, Exedy Stage 1 HD is a good clutch that cant handle 400 lb/tq. Exedy clutches are quality, so you can't go wrong. On the ClutchMaster, my buddy has one on his STI, and its amazingly smooth. I forgot if which model he has, but I'm inclined to say FX200.

I have the FX200 waiting to go in my car. I chose it because of the Kevlar face, it should be able to withstand a decent amount of heat without slipping. I'm going to pair it with a ACT Streetlite. I don't recommend the FX300 if you plan on doing any more track days, CM doesn't recommend it for road racing, something to do with the segmented face...
i switched to a compeition stage 4 clutch and had been results back then.
This is a great thread for anyone who's worried about they oil. It's a compilation of different oils that Evo owners have sent to get analyzed. I've always though people read into oil way to much, so this thread really gave a good clue about oil wear specific to Evo motors. I saw anything from Amsoil, to Mobil1, to Pennzoil Ultra, etc. Good info I think.

Its a material that can be used for the street on a daily basis and will respond nicely when taken to the track. I would not recommend the FX200 or 300 because you plan to do AutoX, this will over heat the Kevlar material and you will destroy your clutch.
The Fibber-tuff disc is the same price as the FX300, it is just a special order that is not offered online for the Evo IX
Let me know if you have any questions,
Thank you,
