Installed new rotors and XP12's this weekend. holy cow do those things bite. I was using half the pedal pressure I normally do with the xp10's and was hitting ABS like a ****. I just hope once I'm on track with warm tires and more down force these things are a little less torquey.

in other news its looking like rain on Friday

happy monday bishes.

So I will not be at Warminster, and sounds like Marc will not either...? Who gets to be honorary Tech Chief for the weekend?

Are you guys both running an MBC? Tuning with the ecu and an upgraded boost solenoid will probably help a lot of the fall off... especially for those running a IX turbo. It won't go away, but it should be better.

I'm using a mbc (hallman pro), works fine for me, I'm not complaining.

NBC said possible showers Friday night with heavier rain into Saturday. As long as it stays dry Friday, I'm good.

I'm done with the EBC. Doing a couple more logs with it in 3rd & 4th gear to save as a comparison to show how it spools between it and the MBC, but I will be switching back to the MBC before my next HPDE.

I like the MBC better because its simple to change boost levels & more consistant (easier to tune) than the EBC and you always have a nice flat boost curve. I'm sure you can probably get a little more power out of the EBC but I'm not looking for every last HP. Only thing I really will miss about the EBC was the ability to run less boost in 5th gear, but I will just run 20psi and be done with it.

Switching back, huh? Thats craziness... Also, why would you run only 20psi, I understand keeping it low for hpde's, but thats pretty low. I was running 22psi the two days I did. Thats one turn down from my normal street trim (which is usually around 24 now).

power isn't everything on a road course... you should know that. 3 things will make you fast, straight line power, cornering speed & braking ability. If you work on the last two you will be much faster than someone who only has the power to blast down the straight. I've gotten around much faster cars than myself because I was able to brake later, carry more speed thru the corner and get on the gas earlier than the more powerful car in front of me.

IMO, 300whp is plenty for me to handle right now. I think once you start using all the power your car makes you'll find the same thing true.
