I will one day, but right now I'm just too damn lazy to change tires at the track.

I wanted to pick your brain next time I see you about the time attack stuff. I did a little research on NASA's site but I'm still confused... main issue being I don't know how to class my car/mods. I would like to try and make the next event at lightning but i don't want to have my car be in a class its not competitive.

If not? Good!

Your car does have alot of noises. Your drivetrain sounds like it has straight cut gears. Maybe it's just the minimalist RS and lack of sound deadening material. I think yours was the only one I've been in.
I tried that first, Im waiting to get new rotors now

Between the no sound deadening and the engine mount my car is loud inside. I remember the first time I rode in another evo I remember it being real quiet.

mbc @ 20psi
ix turbo
fmic
mr bov
perrin cone filter
2.5" dp
resonated test pipe
3" cat-back exhaust
and a tune, everything else is stock power wise

suspension
flags w/10k front & 12k rear (external res attached to shock - double adjustable)
larger front bar - whiteline, larger rear bar - perrin
perrin psrs
whilteline roll center correction kit

no weight reduction other than removing the spare tire & jack. last I checked car was 3500 with me in it and a 1/2 tank of gas. It put down 315 on petey's dyno @ 22.2psi. probably around 300whp on 20psi currently.

wow, Evo 8 base class is TTC** and mininum weight is 3263 lbs. you have lots mod points to make your car competitive.

my Evo 9 RS base class is TTB and base weight is 3219 lbs.

every 20 mod points will bump you up to next class.

what does that mean exactly, that I can add more mods? I don't really want to change anything other than running the hoosiers maybe if needed.

just checked the TTC results for lightning and thunderbolt from the last events nasa had there... if I understand them correctly, my current lap times would be a new track record for that class, lol.

I also see that you hold the record in TTC & TTA currently for lightning.

power:
5 points: for all turbo cars
6 points : s2 cams
4 points: mbc @ 20psi
4 points: fmic
1 point: perrin cone filter
2 points: tubo back exhaust
1 point: test pipe
2 points: injectors and fuel pump

suspension
7 points:flags w/10k front & 12k rear (external res attached to shock - double adjustable)
2 points: for springs
2 points: larger front bar - whiteline, larger rear bar - perrin
3 points: perrin psrs
2 points: whilteline roll center correction kit
8 points: non oem bumper

but since you have a NON oem turbo (non evo 8 turbo), you will have to go in TTS class. which means the only thing you have to worry about is Power/weight ratio greater than 8.7:1. everything else doesn't matter.

my RS was settup of TTS class when Troy had it. i had to remove parts to go back down to TTA. you should be competitive in TTS regionally but not nationally.

your car base class is TTC, which means completely stock it will be TTC. with all the mods you have on it now, it will be in TTS. so no track records for you

i have 3 track records in TTC with the s2000

there are plenty of 3" DP that doesn't hit TC and just use some washers to lower the tie-bar.
3" DP = .123 sec faster on track
