Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I also love being the underpowered car out there passing people with 500whp, you know the feeling I'm sure.

IMagine getting passed by a miata on the straight and not being able to catch back up... its the same thing. If driven correctly they can get on the gas sooner, carry more speed in the corners and don't have to brake as much. All that = nguyen out on the race track.
I'm done with the EBC. Doing a couple more logs with it in 3rd & 4th gear to save as a comparison to show how it spools between it and the MBC, but I will be switching back to the MBC before my next HPDE.
I like the MBC better because its simple to change boost levels & more consistant (easier to tune) than the EBC and you always have a nice flat boost curve. I'm sure you can probably get a little more power out of the EBC but I'm not looking for every last HP. Only thing I really will miss about the EBC was the ability to run less boost in 5th gear, but I will just run 20psi and be done with it.

Umm, you're doing it wrong?
I agree it's not as easy as turning a knob, but the ability to spool should be better on the EBC if you setup correctly. You're on V7, right? You can setup two maps and switch. One with lower boost for track days and one with higher boost for street/autox. I still have a little cleanup work on my tune down low after switching to v7. The 100% wgdc below XXX load is allowing me to hit higher load cells below 3500 than before. Just what I want to autox Umm, you're doing it wrong?

Just what I want to autox I do agree you can make slightly more power by holding the WG closed longer when the turbo start to make boost and the same when its running out of breath up top. If you've got the time to go after them more powa to ya!
I'm liking all this track talk this morning... really making my day fly.
Kenny, if you're paying attention, remember that discussion we had about friction circles... well I found out something interesting this weekend when I was watching some of my racing videos. I initially thought my lineal (braking) acceleration was grater than my laterial acceleration, but the harry's lap timer app is telling me the opposite. According to the app, which uses the phones sensors to measure everything, I'm only hitting .5-.6g's whlie braking but as much as 1.2g's in lateral acceleration in some spots. Amazing! I wonder if that means I have twice as much potential braking power than I'm using.

anyone know if they make a good autox app for the iphone's? If anyone is looking for a great racing/HPDE app the Harry's lap timer pro works awesome. I don't think it will be much value on an AX course though.
