Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards

I did something stupid last night...
I went to add an extra quart of Mobil1 from a couple of half empty bottles I had left over from previous oil changes. I grabbed 2 bottles of 10w-40 out of the box I take to the track with me, both bottles were half full. I put the one in in the motor and as I started to pour the second one in I heard a 'splash' sound hit the funnel... not a sound oil should make. I quickly stopped and looked at what I had just done. turns out it wasn't oil I just put in my motor, it was used brake fluid and denatured alcohol from the last time I flushed my brakes.
I probably put about 8-12oz in before I realized what I was doing. I quickly went into damage control mode and dumped another half quart of regular oil in to 'chase' the brake fluid down into the pan. I then jacked the car up and let it sit for about 1hr until I let the oil drain out. I was hoping that oil would be lighter than the brake fluid and stay to the top of the pan while the other crap when to the bottom where the plug is. When I opened the drain plug up the first stuff to come out of the pan was very water-like, so hopefully I'm OK. I'm letting the car sit in the air with the drain plug off until tonight to hopefully drain every last drop of that stuff outta there.
I'll put fresh oil in tonight and hope for the best... thats about all I can do really.

I would get a jug of dino, fill with with that, run it for like 2 min, drain it, and fill it back up with your regular oil. Better safe then sorry.
Pete, I sent out an update email with you working 8-9:30 AM on Sunday. I usually help Chau out in the morning since it gets crowded between 7:30 and 8:30, but I'm replacing Scott this weekend in the worker tent, so if you arrive earlier than 8, please give Chau a hand to get the lines moving.

Hopefully that is a mistake I'll only make one time.*smacks head* You big dummy! Seriously, that sucks. I hate it when I do stupid ish and cause myself way more work than necessary.

I'll have to bounce after the first heat so count me out for any food stuff.
I don't usually keep oil containers filled with brake fluid lay around either. what i think happened was at some point in the last 2 track events someone bleed their brakes and used one of my empty oil containers as a catch can. I know it wasn't me because I have a system where i use the old bottle of brake fluid so I can make sure I add the same amount I took out. Anyway, I must have picked up that half full bottle and put it in my box assumed it was my oil.
Hopefully that is a mistake I'll only make one time.
Well I didn't run the motor, so I feel like if i started the car and let it run i would do more harm then just draining the oil all together. Lucky I just installed those catch cans. HOpefully they'll catch any non-oil vapors once the oil gets good and hot. the only thing is I think brake fluid doesn't turn to vapor until like 600*...

I realize you didn't run it like that. I meant fill it with dino now that its empty, run it for a minute then drain it and refill with your reg oil. Hopefully that would get everything out...
that caddy is no joke! dude has that thing hooked up with chrome wheels, real corinthian leather seats, fuzzy dice hangin from the rear view and split-fire plugs. I'll bet he gives April a run for her money.
