You should be embarrassed for reals, you are better than that to let a NEWB beat you. You have almost beat me in my car, how could that have happened? Can these guys who went to the Porsche event come to one of our local events, I want to run against them.....
No offense to all drag racers, but that would not happen with the realz Autocrossers. Same as if I come drag racing, you guys would smoke me....
On to the business, my god that Porsche course was F'in HORRIBLE. I could not believe someone actually thought about that course and laid it out like that, absolutely terrible. Philly would never do a course that bad, we have had a few stinkers but nothing like that. For all who went to this event who do not normally Autox, this is not what we normally do. Our course are much more fun and challenging, the car actually hits boost alot on our course, rev limiter too sometimes...
My Sunday of semi wet autox:
Andre, Simmons and myself did the Bader Field course on Sunday with South Jersey region. We didn't have drinks or foos, but we did have a few Porsches and a much better course.
Our course was actually a little painful in the sections Simmons and I did, all the sucky parts were my idea sort of. I learned alot and will have a rockin set up there next time.
Watch video and tell me if my course was more fun...

Mike - looking at the SJR results you and Simmonz were showing how it's done. Eric beat the entire SM field pretty handily in a DS car. To their defense, none of them run rcomps (?), but that was wicked.
How was the runway in the rain? I bet it was pretty grippy with all the groves in the pavement.

There were a few cars on R-compounds, but majority were on street tires. Normally that would be impressive, but in this case not so much.....
Shoe,
Grip was ok, the wet was not as much of an issue as sand, rocks and shells in some areas (same as last time). I brought my blower and spent 40 minutes myself, another dude had a hand held one and there was one guy with a back blower. There is alot of crud on the blacktop. We avoided most of bumpy sections and I think we can use taxi ways for some real nice speed sweepers, total on throttle exit. That place wears tires too, watch my video, you can see rubber and rock flying as well as some rain. I went there with 2 lines on my Hoosiers and left with 1 line on my front Hoosiers. I was not Happy about that, basically will rotate tires, run another event or two and these tires are done... So 15 runs plus next event or two I do on them.... bought them with 45 runs on tires... flipped after every event. Done
