When I had my Galant I had GEICO in Bucks County and my rate was decent, moved to Philly and it doubled. Bought the Evo and switched to Liberty Mutual but being single, under 25 and living in the city are what inflate my policy cost. Collision coverage alone is almost half of my quote. What upsets me is the salesman said $1,000 deductible was fine but when it came time to sign the paperwork Mitsu allows $500 max. I keep hearing good things about USAA, may have to check them out.

I have Progressive for the Evo, 08 X5, and 87 E30, all of which are under my name at my Philadelphia address. I pay $242/month for all three cars. My coverage is limited liability with comprehensive. 100/300k. Uninsured and underinsured. The policy is stacked also. I bet there are way better deals out there, but this was a huge saving when I jumped from Geico.

On a separate note, my gf is registering her 08 Civic today, and transferign the insurance to her new Lancaster address. She has State Farm, limited liability with comprehensive coverage, 100k/300k, and 80% rental car up to $1k limit. She's paying $52/month. She also had State Farm in Alabama, less coverage, and cost $97/month.
you should be charged more based on stereotypes alone!

You guys are getting raped. $240ish a month for $500K life insurance policies on me and the wife, full auto coverage with a $100 deductible on the GTO and Volvo and home owners insurance plus my wifes nursing insurance with State Farm. Suck it.

Then again I just had to do a 10 year driving record and my last ticketed offense was in 2004 (didn't mention the speeding tickets I got locally for some reason).

I wish I knew why, most quotes I get are over 3000 for 6 months including state farm. This is for me and the fiance, not wife, but I doubt it would help all that much. Why do I feel like I am the only one with substantially high useless bills? Probably because I am. I am hoping my insurance will go down whenever I decide to move, which will be this year indefinitely.. I wish I still lived with my parents, so jealous of the people who get to do that and save for a house. A luxury I never had.

If I lived with my parents I'd be driving a new 911 turbo or Ferrari.

Not hating on anyone. Just dreaming aloud
