Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
I spotted a very nice looking Alpine White E30 at a grocery store today that had a for sale sign on it.
It's a 1988 325is coupe with a five speed. It only has 108k miles, and the current owner is an old guy that has had it since 1990. The exterior is pretty much spotless, and the paint looks excellent. It was obviously garage kept. I'm going to drive it tomorrow, and if it looks good I'll likely jump on it!

325 is the 6cylinder, IS was the top of the line, just below the M3.
$3k for an unmolested, low mileage 88 325is is a very good bargin IMO. Just make sure you find out how long its been since the timing belt was replaced. BMW recommends 60k or 5 year, which ever comes first. If that belt breaks your pistons will eat valves. The good news is a complete m20 longblock can be had for around $250, lol. The better news is an E36 M3 swap is only about $2-$2.5k, even better than that is an V8 swap!

Drivetrain
BMW offers the 1988 325is with a 2.5-liter, in-line six-cylinder engine block that has 24 valves and dual overhead cams.
^
That would be nice! Its a single cam 12 valve...

I have the best luck

molding piece in the back of the sunroof glass is twisted and fell off the bracket. I need to figure out what part number this is (mitsuparts pictures suck).
Should I just buy an AMS roof?!
