what type of helmets are people using? closed or open face?

Full-face here... I do like the open face though..

 

Closed face for me. I'd be down with the open for autox for sure.


I'm with Jeff, you should not be drag racing with parts on the car that you haven't been tuned for yet. I wouldn't even be going WOT with those mods and no tune.

 

i wear a full face. I guess open face will have a bit better visibility, but it may only make a difference if your parallel parking or similar.

If your thinking of buying an auto-x specific helmet, get a 3/4, it will be cheaper.

 

IMO, open face gives you better visability, but when wearing them you always seem to have stupid facial expressions like you're taking a dump or something in pics. thats the only reason I like a full face

 

I would tune before doing any hard pulls. Have you been getting really good mileage? I'd bet your car is very lean with those mods.

 

22 psi if I don't launch it should I be ok then, I would like to get the exhaust manifold before I get tuned

About helmets again: is there a difference between a motorcyclehelmet and closed face motorsport closed face? None of the sites I am looking at seem to differentiate and they all look the same.

I would wait. Do you have evoscan + tactrix cable? Good investment. You can learn lots about what your car is doing.
