If your content with the VIII, don't do it unless he is seriosly overpaying you. If your looking for an excuse to get into a X, sell it!!!

^^this sounds about right.

Honestly Chu, I would say 15k. Take the Ohlins off and sell it with the Bilsteins. You can obviously make a couple bucks on them.
You may want to think about cleaning up that interior before he looks at it...

chu, i'll give you $15500 including the ohlins.

what color and options do you want in your X? it would be interesting to see what you'd do with one.

i got to say, modding the car is the fun part. i wouldn't want to buy something like jim's car or the sandbox. they're fast but what else is there to do? taking it from 275hp at the crank to 5XX at the wheels is the joy.

thanks everyone!

Chu, I think you're crazy to sell unless you are either getting overpaid for the car, I mean really overpaid, or you know exactly what you want to get after this.

still though, I think it will be hard to find another car that can do what the ct9a does. I've thrown the idea around quite a bit in the last 6 years of ownership and it always comes back to the same thing... I don't think there is another car out there, for the money, that has the same level of performance/proven realiability/fun factor or versatility as an EVO VIII/IX.

it's interesting how there are so many different opinions about viii/ix vs. x

you have the above and then you have people like pete tiebout standing in my driveway saying "nothing goes around a corner faster than a X."

this is just a comment. i am not trying to start a huge debate.

You guys are right, it is really hard to beat these cars for what they are. I really wouldn't know what else to get besides another lower mileage one, or a X. I've tossed the idea over and over, but who knows. I'm sure if I'm overpaid, I would do it. Oddly enough, I'm still putting money into the car. Just installed Ti strut tower braces in the front and rear!
