Pretty much all 'fireworks' that you will see in PA are bogus. To get they real deal, you either need a license or you need to go to South Carolina. I think it's a shame. Fireworks were a formative part of my upbringing. If we have to sacrifice a few dozen fingers hands and eyes each year, then so be it.
We used to get quarter sticks back in the day. Now that is a fun time. One lesson we learned was never to throw one when a dog is present. True story, at a fourth of July party our neighbors Black Lab retrieved a lit quarter stick that my dad had just lit and thrown. Fortunately for the dog he pulled it out of his mouth in time. It actualy blew up in the air a fraction of a second after leaving my dads hand.
I think 1-2pm. I spoke with Pete T, and it looks like he may make an appearance.

im searching VA for some of the "interesting" fireworks that you cant get in PA. If i find anything good, ill keep you guys posted. Bring a whole car full up. Jeff, your such a redneck. Have you ever gone gigging? Thats next on my list when I visit my boy in MD, if youve done that, youve crossed the line.
BTW, for those who dont know, my dad is trying to get into a WW Evo X. Test drove one and loved it. Wants to go wingless and possibly black wheels. If anyone sees or hears about one lmk! Thanks for all your help so far Danimal.

We used to get 1/2 sticks from the quarry, we put one in a fridge and never found the door. We would also throw them in the pond. 50' high splashes.
I might be getting some m80 shotgun shells, the m80 goes of when the bullet makes impact................sweet
VA doesn't have better fireworks, but they do have moonshine which can make ****ty fireworks more fun.

NC is the same crap, you need to go to South of the Border (NC/SC line).
jeff, i want some of those m80 shells, where the heck did you get those, they would be sick for the mossberg.
gigging is when you go frog hunting. lots of beer, flashlights, little trident sticks to stab the frogs, then good eating the next day haha.
im going to find some fireworks. maybe having some family coming from SC that can bring some up. moonshine is awesome, end of story.
for lame normal fireworks theres a stand out past oaks that has good prices. other than that youd have to go out to limerick etc. there in every parking lot in VA
