Can always make some dry ice bombs, those things are usually good for a pretty loud bang.

Jeff, do you know if you can still shoot clays at french creek? Someone told me you can't anymore and I'm looking to confirm that...? I got a box of clays and two boxes of shell's sitting in my basement that want to get used.

Do any of you guys ever go to the range? I have a Ruger and have only used it once at the range and would like to get more time and practice with it. Maybe on a rainy Autox day or after the season if any one is up for it, there is a range off of 202 that I know of called Target World.

I'm surprised they did it so quickly. The last I've read about them was that they have some unholy backup with all the trannies they have to do. Good to hear it worked out for you.

A question for you E85'ers. Does the exhaust smell bad with a TP on E85 just as it does when you're running gasoline?

In door ranges suck IMO. There's always stupid rules like you have to buy the ammo from them and what not... always ends up being expensive to go there.

That sucks, think we could just shoot clays anyway? Do you know of any other place to shoot clays outdoors thats somewhat close. I know there's a place up near Macungie (spelling?)...

have you run a test pipe with gasolline? I run gas, and have barely any smell resulting from the test pipe, if any.

It may be tune dependent, but i think the evo's run clean enough with a good tune that you wont get an overwhelming smell. Then again if your running big injectors, your idling might not be adequate and it will stink.

some of the rumors of foul test pipe smells probably come from experiences with older cars like fd's where, given an agressive setup, you will literally smell like fuel after 20 mins in traffic.

my buddy Dan who co-drives my car sometimes is a big gun freak. We belong to a private club in Sellersville, they have both an outdoor and indoor range. Actually, I was a member up until last year ($75/year for a membership when I only go a couple times isn't worth it), but his dad works at the place and can probably get you in as a guest if you just want to shoot off a few rounds or kill some clays.

i've got a ruger too, its a .357 snub nose revolver w/crimson laser sight that I use as my carry. That little thing packs a punch.

I haven't personally run it but have seen other evos that run them. They do stink bad, especially when you're driving behind them and you have your AC to recirculate. I was wondering if the behavior is the same with E85 too.

Testpipes stink for sure, my wife HATES driving behind me.

Ethanol has a different smell to it all together. Some say it smells like chinese food, I don't really agree with that. Diesel guys running cooking oil, that smells like chinese food. Ethanol doesn't burn your eyes like gas does either, I believe thats due to a much lower sulfur content, I really don't know though...

crimson trace grips are sweet. getting a kimber ultra cdp .45 with CT laser grips. right now im carrying a little .32 auto ppk with remmi silver tip Hollow points. good enough for the moment.

Dan, taking your advice and its official. ATTENTION: Be on the look out for a used (around 10k miles give or take) stock or close to it (intake, exhaust, no tune but AP okay) Evo X for reasonable price. Preferrably in WW but other colors okay. Hard criteria to match, but looking for something around that.

Dads looking to find an Evo and interest rates are too high at the dealer, so trying to find a used one. There busy with helping college loans, big props to them, but now I want to help try an find him an Evo. Lmk if anyone finds anything as I am slammed at work and probably being monitored right now. freaking government.

i think e85 smells good if you notice it at all. people who don't know anything about cars wont even notice that is smells like anything.

pump gas really smelled up my garage and would spread into the house when i would let the car idle and i'd smell it at stop lights and stop signs or under acceleration.

once you get to know the smell of e85 you'll smell it just as much but i find it to be a pleasant smell and it isn't nearly as overwhelming as pump gas. my garage smells fine and there is no longer a lingering scent of gas in there.

why do you ask? thinking of going with a TP. i'd recommend doing DP while your in there. don't believe the crap stated on the forums about little to no increase in power on stock turbo. if you run e85 you'll be maxing out the stock turbo (especially with your 3 port) and it will be worth it to have a DP in that situation.

ryan, i'll keep a look out for your dad. if you want, try contacting jeff at www.paulsevagmotors.com. that is where we bought my wife's BMW and they deal with special interest cars. they can help you find one and probably have more insider access to what's available that autotrader and ebaymotors doesn't.

just a thought. plus they were able to get us financing at 3.1%, which i think is pretty low.

also, tom masano in reading and bell mitsubishi in NJ has a few used WW's.
