Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
I wouldn't worry about it - I run the stuff from Wexford mostly and then I filled up in Robinson this weekend at sheetz and I didn't notice much of a change in AFR, it was a touch leaner but as long as your not tuning to the ragged edge it wont effect you that much if at all.
As far as the tuning I have run the same tune on the summer stuff as the winter stuff and I never had any issues with knock or anything.....but this is for a mildly modded street car, the higher hp cars pushing power levels will probably see the greatest effect in the different E % so again don't worry to much

Oh no thats fine i would of payed any amount to run at the end, and donated too.. Not trying to be cheap just showed up later because thats when i got done doing stuff and my father was able to go. I did not know you had to be there at 8am. thats the only time you can sign up. I thought i could just show up and register during the day and run like once or twice for fun
sorry I'm not that brightest person hah
sorry I'm not that brightest person hahthis is for a couple reasons. one, you have to pass a tech inspection, and two this will make sure you are covered under the club's insurance for the event.
also there is a maximum number of cars at any given event. off the top of my head i believe that number is 150, but don't quote me on that. if people were just randomly wandering in at various points in the day there would be all kinds of mayhem.
now i am not sure how this works for minors, and am not certain if they changed it from previous years, but it used to be that you could take people as passengers for fun run ride-a-longs who weren't registered drivers. they just had to sign the waiver. again, don't quote me on that though because the insurance requirements of the club change fairly frequently.
yeah if you want to do fun runs at the end of the day you have to be there and registered for the event in the morning.

On another note, I was kind of depressed. There were a ton of silver EVOs there.

At least Frank, Ian and Denny made up for the lack of diversity.

unfortunately we didn't formally meet and wasn't till Ian and I were walking away to find denny that he told me who you were......so at least now I have a face to the name.

no i didn't make it. had some things come up last minute so i unfortunately bowed out.
Just found 4 255/40/18 Advan AD08's on another forum for $600. Seriously thinking about jumping on it, however I'm concerned that they would rub - anyone have any input on this? My current tires are 255/35/18.
So, I'm in a bit of a predicament...again. On the way to the AutoX, I hear a big clank, clank, clank, clank, clank coming from the passenger side front wheel. Get the wheel off after tech inspection and discover that my tire is terribly cupped and there is a huge gash going around about 75% of the tire. We looked in the wheel well but could not find any metal that looked like it could have done that kind of damage. Still havent determined if it wore down rapidly from bad alignment and frayed on its own or if I just hit a big chunk of metal on the highway and it shredded. The other three tires were perfectly fine.
Some of you pittsburgh evo guys should have driven to the blouch event this past sunday at BSD. Only a couple evo's showed up so they let the DSM's fill the evo's absence to race the Subaru's. My friend won the event and $200, I took second on a hurt car and $100, two of my friends took $100 each in the two bracket competitions, and yet another friend took $25 and we still don't know why.

The tires were Bridgestone RE01r's (out of production), so I can't buy just one. How bad/dumb would it be to buy 1 RE11 (closest in performance) instead of 4 new RE11's? I just really don't have a grand to blow on tires right now...lemme know what you guys think.
p.s. Big thanks to Jim for saving me from the depression of not running and allowing me to drive his car all day long! Thanks to Paul, Jeremey, and everyone else out there who were so supportive - really helps ease the frustration!
