Well my modding isn't done after all. Just got off the horn with Chad at CBRD. Going to have him put together a set of Öhlins R&T Coilovers for the car. Will be heading out there for June 24th. Pocketbook feels the pinch once again.

Somebody needs to correct their tag "t-bag tag to much". It should be too. C'mon here lets make these tags as professional as possible. Can't have others looking in from the outside thinking we are rutards.

How hard would you guys say building a motor is?? my friend bought 3 MKIII supra's and the one is wrecked, but only front end damage, and its not to bad. the other one has a little rust and NA but its in decent condition and the other is a complete project. body is shot with rust, and the engine is in a million pieces... Now my question is, Do you think a 17 year old could rebuild the engine and get it working?? with help from some people, manuals, internet, books, etc? I know your probably all going to say ill screw up haha which is probably true but I would really like to build a motor and see how hard it is. and then have that knowledge for the future. what tools would i need for the motor?? and does anyone have any website i could go off of?? thanks

Well the ducati is FAST at the track. With a crappy rider like myself I was seeing 154-156 down the front straight and wasn't able to even look on the back before 9.

Autocross thursday the 27th 4-7pm

Thanks for the confidence , as for the cost, my friend bought the whole car for $200 with body, frame, engine, tranny, ecu, etc etc... so thats pretty cheap

Probably going the ghetto route and end up buying 1 shaved Z1 Star Spec to go with my 3 remaining RE01-R's. Sucks, but unfortunately I'm no baller .

Did you consider getting a set of 4 Star specs and selling off your 3 other tires?

goforwand,

Is it true that all the RRE exhausts for the IX are custom made? I am trying to find one fitting a JDM bumper and hopefully one for sale if possible, but no hits yet. I even made a thread about it:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...k-exhaust.html

One person with some input and he never followed through.

Sigh... I need to quiet this thing up.

You'll need several thousand dollars in parts, tools and some dedication.
That's just the motor.

It's a very good opportunity to learn some mechanical know how and rebuild a decent car. In reality you'll probably drop the motor without labeling and bagging all the parts, take a picture of yourself in the engine bay. In the end you'll be paying someone to do the work for you with half assed parts and run 12.5 with 637hp two years later.

I was over to see Mike yesterday, and now I know why you need to quiet that thing! It is loud!

Anyway, just give RRE a call and let them know you want the JDM bumper version of the SS. Make sure you get the SS version for obvious reasons around here. The tip is just a pipe, so they can weld on a factory exhaust tip if you want it to look at little nicer.

I was talking to Mike and mentioned to him that if you were intereted we could trade exhausts as the loudness doesn't make a difference to me anymore (as I have earplugs under my helmet) but given that you need the JDM version you would have to cut down mine, plus the price differential would be too much if given that yours is an ARC Titanium.

Was trying to get out this past Tuesday, but they pulled the Test and Tune from the schedule

Might be out on Saturday afternoon for Flat Out, but I'm not 100% because I'm not sure I want to take the car out right away without some type of break-in.

Supposed to be a beauitful day though!!
