Quote: Speed bleeder plugs also help reduce brake fluid waste and can let you keep a closer eye on the reservoir. I have found them pretty handy on brake jobs over the years. The are pretty cheap and make it much easier to bleed out brakes on your own.

that's what I just put on. I don't trust them worth a dam. I'm always just slittle paranoid with brakes. I need them to stop me when I ask. Bad things can happen so I always error on the side of cautious.

True. I don't disagree with your statement, you must always be careful especially when you track your car so hard. I have yet to have a leak with them though, but I took them off after my last pad change. Just decided to go stock for a little while.

I bled them twice and I still had alittle bit of a soft pedal on the first push. I pushed about 2 bottles thru in those two times so I can't imagine I still had air in their. .

I just used them like regular bleeder screws and used two people.

I am not sure. I just had mine torqued in to spec and they bled quite easily. Are you sure they are all closed and the threads are correctly seated?

So, I got my Toyo R1R's installed a few days ago - I'll be writing a review in the tires/wheels/suspension area soon, but the short of it is that I miss my RE-01R's quite a bit already.

The big problem I noticed is that the place where I had them installed gimped one of my wheels REALLY badly. Granted, all of my wheels are slightly curbed, but they damaged the paint on one of the wheel's spokes so badly that the silver aluminum is glaring through. In total, three spokes are showing bright silver aluminum and there are silver scuffs in several places on the lip of the rim. I don't remember the name of the shop (i'll find out in the next day). I need to tell them about it, but I don't know what to ask for in return. I don't expect them to replace all of the wheels, but I don't think they will replace that wheel either (CE28N's new are not cheap). If they were Rotas, I'd let it go, but this is really gonna kill resale value with Volks.

Yeah well I am out my $400 initially and "hope" that my insurance will recover it from his insurance. My luck is that they won't recover. Typical insurance companies.

Hopefully get a call from the body shop tomorrow to bring it in.

Which body shop did you choose? One shop that I keep going back to is Precision Auto Works. They're on 19 just before Cranberry. My parents always took their cars there, and mine will be there while I am out of town for a few weeks starting on the 12th. Gotta get the lip replaced and all the paint worked on. I have never heard of someone disappointed with their work...

On another note, what is the thought on wingless? I have been tossing it up for a little while now, and still just don't know if I should pull the trigger or not. Those that took it off, do you regret it and why?

Happy Memorial Day

Canexican, just saw this the other day...

Cheap dunlops with 90% treadwear left... that could have been an option.
