Steve, I had no idea you were a member on here. Shouldn't you be on some Dsm forum talking about holsets lol

it's not the fuel pumps giving up, it's the 1600 injectors tapped out at 39psi

Yes, but at that high of fuel line pressure 255's flow drops off considerably. Two walbros on 93 can support 1000hp but factor in the extra fuel of e85 and it comes down quick. If we turn the wick up more with bigger injectors just be leary you might run out of fuel not much farther north than your current hp level.

lol remember 710 @ the wheels

walbros only flow 255 LPH at free flow
at 43 psi line pressure it drops to 229 LPH
at 73 psi line pressure it drops to 147 LPH according to RRE's info.

assuming you are around 43 base + 39 psi = 82 line pressure so you are less than 147LPH per pump....

some other calculations for fuel supply roughing it in 800 crank hp running it to 90 percent capacity needs 327 LPH or so using a brake consumption factor of .65

so you need ~327 LPH with a small factor of safety and you have less than 300 LPH (147+147) of flow out of the dual wallys....theoretically

I mean I'm not saying it can't be pushed a little bit further , hell jay's car made 570 on 1 walbro and stock ****box fuel lines. Try to explain that through math.. it won't happen.

I just don't want to anything bad happen to the car, we gotta be careful at these levels.

Thank you guys. The car has been together for a while but I was our of country and Jason had like 20 cars to do so it just finally got done. Haven't driven it yet. I know Jason wants to get on the street and tweak it to perfection, but I'm very very pleased thus far

Congratulations on those numbers! Over 700whp on a Mustang Dyno nonetheless. Amazing.

The ID2000's are pretty amazing, theoretically they can flow over 2000cc with some good base pressure from the pumps. Still, I think you should be fine at the power levels you are at now, no more for the street should ever be needed. Just make sure you are safe at those levels, and let loose with a sick *** DD.

What was the IDC like during full load?

Congrats again. I hope no one ever challenges you out on the road. They will be in for a surprise.
