Well my question is why can't we use a OEM Lancer Cruise Control unit? After all, it's "basically" the same car. Why would I want to use an aftermarket one when in theory the Lancer should work on the car?

I believe the way the throttle works prevents the lancer system from working which is why there is that proprietary system. I guess you could look to see if the Evo 7 GTA had a cruise control system as i would guess it would be a direct bolt in app. But you would pay dearly for it since you would probably have to have it shipped from the land of the rising sun.

I am down for a meet. I really need to get to one here. I don't care if I have to push the car there. I am just anxious to see everyones cars. I am still ironing out these kinks. I have been reading the ECUflash section of the forums and my mind is exploding from too much information...

I decided to dump this Greddy FMIC and go with an ETS core instead. It should be here on Monday so I can throw it on and then take it out for a tune. So if anyone is looking for an FMIC setup, I will sell it really cheap to a local. I posted an ad on the Market Place just in case, just search Greddy FMIC and APS Twin Vent BOV.

 

mine came with cruise control. maybe it's just the RS that doesn't.

if we're gonna do a wexford sonic meet we should do two things.

1.) make sure we invite lemonhead. it's not a party without him.

2.) cruise through north park. rumor (and thread tags) have it that there is an awesome glory hole there.

ah yes the island......i ride by it from time to time dreaming of what it might be like to live on that island, it always sounded so glorious.
