Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
I like high school girls!
The funny thing about forums is that nobody is forcing you to read them. If you don't like it, don't read it. As much as this thread gets alittle silly sometime, it also gets some good info out there as to who/ where/ what is going on in the EVO community. From auto-x, TT's, track days, and drag racing (street racing not included). To what shops and people to trust for good info on EVO's. Yes , it's hard to deal with sometimes and we like to harass each other alot but, most of the folks are good people.

On a serious note, been looking over the Wilson Course and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations? I've only been on the course with carts, and was hoping someone that's run it with cars could share some insight such as speeds/gears..etc.
Don't worry, I'm not going to be too competitive.

the funny thing about public relations especially on these boards is that often memories are short, drama fades.
but when you intentionally come interject out of the blue with that kind of negativity it helps keep your issues fresh in the mind.
i'm gonna lecture you on how to run your business at length, but i think a better approach would be to try to make some friends here. you're obviously not interested in the business potential this board has though.
that's your prerogative though.

i tend to get in to second and leave it there, trying to focus more on keeping momentum than anything else. the middle section is challenging because of how tight it is, i also usually like to ride the rev limiter down the front straight like a $2 hooker right in to turn 1. some people prefer to go to the 3rd gear there, but i never seem to have the time to make the shift up and then back down (turn 1 is a fairly tight king).
take care not to drop wheels off the track.
the back part going up the hill to the elevation change can be a nail biter. i usually tend to start braking when i near the crest of the elevation change somewhere around the beginning to middle of the large concrete/grass table top that sits on the right side of the track.
be mindful of brake fade. relatively high speed coupled with lots of tight corners can easily take their toll and you may find that nearing the end of your 2nd timed lap and in to your 3rd lap that things are getting a little soft, or disappearing all together. i've had a couple scary moments when i smooshed the brake pedal and not much happened (stock brakes setup).
the event will tend to chew up the driver's side tires a bit more than the passenger side as well since it's right turn heavy.
don't worry too much if you catch another car in your peripheral vision when you're coming through the center, they're further behind than you think.
and again, don't drop any wheels off.
Running pretty much newer EBC yellows pads, so not terribly worried with brake fade. No issues with them on the north track. I was thinking about running it in a single/two (either 2 or 1/2) gears the whole time.
Passing is prohibited correct?

wilson is a bit tricky.

it was mentioned a year or two ago at one of the events, but it was pretty much unanimously decided that if you try to pass on wilson you're gonna have a bad time.
You will be 2nd and 3 rd gear! There are 2 spots you should need 3rd. The front straight and the sweeper after turn 1. You will be on the rev limiter going up the hill also most likely.
There is not anything I can think of that is too low for a cf lip. Wait till you see EVOdaves car,That is low!
There are spots to spin out there. And Justin is right, the lip of the road vs grass is enough to send you spinning. Not much worry about hitting things but it has happened.

Seems there was some drama on Pittspeed and he wants it to bleed over here and better yet, blames "evo owners" for the actions of one person.
BTW: Those ACD pumps are $2200. Do take good care doing the install on that poor bastards car. I'm sure you have all the uber expensive mitsu tools to do it right.
