acd pump chump = epic tag!!!

I honestly don't know what the story is about the ACD pump nor do I care. That is too funny

Edit: I do care because it sounds like another Evo owner got screwed.

So i think what we have learned here to sum up this entire thread is that carbon fiber lips are for the gays...so ABS must be the manly choice? Glad that was cleared up.

Quote: Well, today turned out to be a great day. Belted out 388whp/399wtq on the dyno and then made it down to the track to run a best of 11.71@119.4. Fastest run was prior to that with an 11.72@121.8.

My final run was my lowest ET and ironically also my worst 60ft at 1.79 (spinning all the way through first). I shifted the best and was flying through the 1/8th with a 95mph trap (gained about 4mph compared to my other 2 runs), but I guess it was either knocking or breaking up at upper 7000rpm range because my trap speed was 2 mph lower.

Good times, nice running into EvoIan as well. Good to see his car running strong - although, it looks like his stock clutch is ready to take a vacation.
Congrats Dave! Car looked like it was running strong.

Your trap loss could have been because you were in the right lane... for some reason certain cars seem to screw with their timing system and lose MPH in the right lane. Mine is one of them... looking back at past timeslips when I was stock 5 runs in the same night, 3 108 traps in left lane and 2 105 traps in the right.

RE: ACD pump tag.

I was just reading over at Pittspeed to find out where the drama that prompted steve's flare up began and one of those j and s guys offered to help some IX owner replace theirs?

Now having had my ACD pump go bad I know mitsu is really going to be one of the few places to have the equipment to diagnose failures of the ACD system and what part needs replaced. This is why I thought it was amusing that they would offer to help in such a matter unless they have those tools. ACD pumps are CRAZY expensive. I'd be weary of anything associated with them. So I found myself going at their offer.

it's common knowledge that the only thing you need to properly fix an acd pump is an awd dyno and a salty disposition.

I found the best way to fix an ACD pump if no longer in warranty is to eliminate the POS so it wont break again.......
