Actually my buddy Ryan is the one that was asking about the ACD pump on pittspeed. He bought Dane's Evo IX that has over 100k on it. All three lights are lit up which usually means pump failure. He has already picked up another low mileage pump. I referred him to Mike at bairel and he is between having him install it or trying it himself. Hardest part is bleeding the system.

we're going to have to jump him in at the next meet.
as a side note i've seen the 3 lights of doom once or twice. usually while i'm stuck in traffic in very hot weather, thankfully they haven't persisted for more than a couple hours (yet?) and usually fix themselves if i let the car sit and cool off.
i imagine he's tried all that though.
damnit, an unaffiliated evo owner bringing the j&s hate down on us? that's not cool.

This is all just a guess, but thats what I got from what I've read.
Yes the lights are on all the time from what he describes. I don't think the J&S hate is from that thread. It's from a thread someone posted about a good day on the J&S dyno in which he states that means someone melted their pistons. It then turns into a pissing match.

I was shocked that he sold it. Those IX SE's were the best of the lot. 100,000 miles. I should pass that in about 2025.
The three solid greens aren't always the pump. Mike had some fancy machine that he hooked the car up to and tested it for pressure.
If he has the pump I don't think the labor took to many hours. Mine was covered so I don't really know the cost.
I wonder if running around with a messed up acd can screw around with the transfer case? Of course a loud fart in the evo seems to cause the transfer case to fall out.

I brought up the ACD pump for giggles.
For the tritech
A IX RS sitting in traffic with the windows closed on a 90 degree day makes for an interior temp of ~115 degrees in 15 minutes.
