Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
Well Wilson track was a blast...I drove like crap though and never put down a really
fast lap. I love the event though and can't wait to go back. I hate going backwards
time wise though. With the new suspension and tire set-up I really didn't think I would
be slower but it happens. Hope to get it all straightened out.
Jeremy thanks for heading up the event. Any chance of another one this year?
You looked fast (as usual) even with the clunk up front!
Brant it was great meeting you, wish we would have been thrown into the same pod.
EvoDave was nice meeting you also. (I lent you the tape) Car looked great and was wicked fast!
Howard thanks for taking pics!
Frank looked fast as usual too, but the real shout out has to go to his wifey Kristi (sp). I'm pretty sure she layed down a 1.07.xxx something on street tires. This means next to frank she now has the fastest evo time on street tires. Dan time to give up the Deitzel cup and give it to it's new owner...lol
Canexican congrats on cleaning house at the flashlight drags. Looks like the only thing that might be able to beat you at this point is another evo. Figured all the drag boys would be jumping on that.

I gotta say though, getting the 100 in cash and $50 in gas is a little sweeter.
Hopefully, I have cams the next time I see you...then you'll need more than a little something
.
I'm looking to go 10.x @ upper 120, low 130's with my little something.... the main problem is going to be putting it to the ground out on the runway.... Might need to sneak in some VHT. lol.

Yeah Mike, it would have been cool if we were in the same Pod. Hopefully Howard can get his X out there and we'd have 3 people for our group.
Can't wait to see the pictures he took. It was good meeting him.
We need to get Dan to attend a flashlight drag and give that Black 442 or the Dart a run for their money on the Big Dawg races....
plus a different color EVO. The Waynesburg crowd probably thinks the only EVO's that race are silver...since that is all they ever see down there winning

Dave, I have the same bouncing issue's out there, as I mentioned. I'm not too sure what is the cause tho. I run pretty soft compression and I still get it so? It's more like the car is just binding up. Maybe just part of the diffs as Justin stated.
As for tires, the R6's would be something to try out. I was planning on doing that but you decided to come race so I knew I needed the fastest tire possible.
I still don't think the R's would be as fast.
I wish I wouldve taken at least another session to see if I could have closed the gap alittle. Tire wear was a big factor in that choice. I need this set of tires to last 3 more weekends of hillclimbs. And then there was the clunk! Lol. Thanks to
my chief mechanic (Mitsumaster Mike) we were able to diagnose my problem. Ended up being nothing but the brake line clip snagging on the hub. It's attached to the strut so that's why I was feeling it in the car. I knew the cars performance didn't seem to be affected from the noise but, it did make me wonder if the wheel was going to fall off.
No more events planned for this year! If you could get 30 people lined up for sure I could do it.

Found a cool vid from the flashlight drags. The first guy I raced was an 11 second Jeep SRT8 Vortech Supercharged @ 8psi with a Go Pro mounted on his hood...turned out to make for a great video.
