Honestly feeling not welcome at some events is the driving force behind me showing up and bringing a bunch more people with me.

We hear the **** all the time about how our GTO's are Import's or not real GTO's or garbage, Its fun to ignore it.

The Wexford Starlite Cruise is every Friday night in the summer and draws 1500-2000 cars every Friday evening and they welcome everybody with open arms. Infact 7/30, Imports/tuners are the featured car and will have a reserved featured row.

Definitely going to the one at the end of the month. At least won't feel out of place at that one.

I would definitely be interested in getting a lot of people together for a big import cruise, i know a lot of people in cranberry alone would probably be down on a specific date and most of my friends all drive different cars and are on all kinds of different forums so im sure with all of us just mentioning to our friends and posting on different forums we could probably get close to 1000 if not more if we kept up with this! That would be sick...

Well I'm pretty sure I'm going, but keep in mind, it's easier to get something setup for around the Pittsburgh area rather than traveling outside the state.

Who brought the good news bear? And somebody give her some ****ing honey!

Just watched that movie tonight - pretty hilarious and loved all the shots of the city. I know there are "older car/muscle" car cruises on a weekly basis at North Park Lounge every week and also at Sunseri's on Babcock Blvd. Those would be "smaller" venues. If we organize something on a larger scale maybe Dave n Busters or Hooters would work. +1 for grabbing women at the local strip clubs to take photos with the cars, however there would need to be a very good screening process for said ladies.

^ ah ok thank you!! hopefully try and make it down to that one!! I was also wondering how do you like your springs?? I'm looking into buying some and unsure what to get... I didn't realize how high my car was until i put it up to my friends R35 skyline and 350z so i want to lose a bit of height but don't want to blow out the struts anytime soon! i know swifts are decent, Eibachs drop the car a lot but would probably hurt the performance and struts...

A few years ago out at Carlisle for their import car show, things got out of hand and really drug the import scene through the mud. "The scene" was not invited back for quite some time - it may still not be welcome out there. Nopi died a year or 2 later and that was about it. Word got around and i think thats why you feel that unwelcome feeling at car cruises today.

But honestly, what do you expect? People see import cars with flamboyant styling, body pieces and loud exhausts and associate that with a mischief stereotype. Kinda like taking off through a crowded movie theater parking lot at the waterfront back in April It doesnt help. The culture is just not here in the Pittsburgh area.

All that being said, i have never been talked down upon, or made fun of when i go to the Irwin car cruises on Saturday nights.

Thanks Matt, good seeing a familiar face. I also met the guy who goes by Lefty on here, real nice guy and took the video that is listed below.

Well, I basically did clean house today, but it wasn't easy like the last time. I got my wish of running against street tire domestics and there were definitely some fast ones out there. Most notably, an older 10 second Camaro that won the street class the last time I went. I did the one thing I didn't want to do against him...bog the launch. If it was an 1/8 mile and 10ft race, I probably would have lost.

Also, there was a nasty 1st gen Talon TSI with over 500whp that I ended up beating twice. He was having shifting issues all day. He would pull on me hard and then couldn't get it in the next gear. He wanted to race me a third time, but I declined (15+launches was enough for me).

I ended up winning the street contender class and the top tuner class - $100 bucks plus a $50 gas card for Sheetz (thank god thats where I get my E85!). Awesome day for the Evo - had lots of people asking me what it was after going 15-0.

Unfortunately no troll pictures, but I did get the Flashlight Wizard this time around...

Also, a couple of videos that Lefty took before he had to go...
