I wouldn't let Jim's idea die out. Having a get together at an over 21 place would really put a damper on the "shenanigans" and one would hope help keep the amount of bond/rust/faded paint to a minimum.

Well, I basically did clean house today, but it wasn't easy like the last time. I got my wish of running against street tire domestics and there were definitely some fast ones out there. Most notably, an older 10 second Camaro that won the street class the last time I went. I did the one thing I didn't want to do against him...bog the launch. If it was an 1/8 mile and 10ft race, I probably would have lost.

Also, there was a nasty 1st gen Talon TSI with over 500whp that I ended up beating twice. He was having shifting issues all day. He would pull on me hard and then couldn't get it in the next gear. He wanted to race me a third time, but I declined (15+launches was enough for me).

I ended up winning the street contender class and the top tuner class - $100 bucks plus a $50 gas card for Sheetz (thank god thats where I get my E85!). Awesome day for the Evo - had lots of people asking me what it was after going 15-0.

Unfortunately no troll pictures, but I did get the Flashlight Wizard this time around...

Also, a couple of videos that Lefty took before he had to go...

I didn't know they had an import night up at Starlite cruises...that is at least a good first step. I'll be sure to be at that one...and see what others think about getting an event together.

anyone know when results will be posted OR pics from the wilson circuit TT at beaver run from this past weekend? here is one of the vids from this weekend. don't mind the buzzy blurriness haha i am getting a new camera asap or using my iphone 4 (i really want a i6 kodak i believe ) cause they have 720p at 60fps. anyway, the first couple laps were crappy and whats also funny is i realized the last couple laps were the only time i EVER went to third after the first corner....gotta do that more lol. anyway you will also see how horribly the car was exiting corners under power (it wouldn't just oversteer and let me correct it , the thing would bouce all over ) . it had never done that before except at this track and i couldn't get rid of it all day. The last lap halfway you will see me slow down...i lost boost, upon inspection after getting home the manifold had cracked!

OK Guys....here is the general info on the car show my friend is putting together...

What's up buddy. Yes our show is a go. August 21st , Highland Park. 1st,2nd,3rd place in all classes. Fully judged. Specialty awards like club participation. Best of show gets a trophy AND a flat screen tv. You know its gonna be a hot event. We are meeting with fox 53 tomorrow about the commercial for this event. There will be vendors displaying and selling stuff. Food vendors. All entries will have a chance to win a free set of wheels. This is the first time that the city shut down a public park for a private car show. We're making history on this one. Oh yeah, White Diamonds Vodka is one of the sponsors. Tell ur buddies that there is an Asian class. This is gonna be the best show in this area in years.

Ill post more details as it gets closer....

Dave, Wilson results should be posted tommorow. I have paper copies of all the times but Beaverun has to post the results on mylaps.com because of the timing system.

I did notice you were staying in 2nd after turn 1. Didn't sound like you were on the rev limiter that long tho. I use to do the same thing, then I started having to ride it longer then I liked, so I started short shifting 3rd on that section. Shifting at my typical shift point was not a good spot to unsettle the car, hence the short shift.

Canexican- nice job!

I always like half naked girls. anywhere you guys want to get some together sounds good to me!

I can't see the video at work but it was probably her. The silver one she drives is an 07 with a six speed auto trans and lingenfelter built 427, Her husband Tim drives an 03 Red Z06 that is magnacharged by lingenfelter. He had bought an 07 auto corvette with a magnacharger just to compete with his wife at the FLD's because he said the 03 was too hard to launch/keep straight on that surface with the 6 speed. She also had an 08 Jetstream Blue Z06.

Just recently he traded the 07 auto magnacharged car he bought and her blue z06 in for a Jetstream Blue ZR1, so they are down to 3 badass vettes. lol.

Hopefully I have a little something for you next time Dave, we will see

it works tires.... i would run r6's i think next time. i had heard it was tight and small....its neither , besides the few hairy looking areas in the video weren't THAT bad just no way to make it look pretty (and be fast) on video ya know i think it was a blast and there HAS to be a resolution for the horrible cornering exit bouncing i was getting.

i've had some issues with bouncing mid corner to corner exit before on the autocross, not yet on wilson.

jeremy has also had some hoping issues on the beaver run VDA area during autocross.

what it turned out to be for us was that we were in tripod mode and the rear inside wheel would intermittently come down and touch the pavement then jump back up, causing the car to feel all kinds of unpleasant while turning.

mine was lessened by turning my ACD to gravel, so when that wheel came down the diff didn't lock right away. i think jeremy helped his by softening up his suspension a bit to better absorb the movement (or maybe it was the other way around).

not sure if that's what you were experiencing but it's a thought. i didn't realize what was going on until i saw some pictures of me coming through the corner and noticed that the inside wheel was just a bit off the ground.
