Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
I think it's funny when I take the car to the movies (with wife and 3 kids). We go to one of the early shows. Then, when we come out, there are usually some highschool kids are hanging around watching to see who's driving the evo. They get a kick out of seeing a family of 5 climb in a drive off. My wife just laughs and gives me some grief - "Hey, they think you car is really cool."

You coulda maybe found one at a regular parts store. Or from summit racing in Ohio! They give you free ground shipping and it is on you doorstep the next day. They are so fast shipping it's crazy.
I hate SBR! I won't be suprised if your waiting a week for it.

Mike said he has a banjo bolt sitting up there! If you need it today you could get one.
You were looking for the one that goes into the block right?

Could be me. Depending on my work, that is one of my normal directions home.

This weekends auto-x is part of the Pittsburgh vintage grand prix! If you enter both days you get a t-shirt, elegible for trophys and get a free dinner at the track sat night with the vintage racers. All proceeds of the event go to support autism reasearch and the allegheny valley school ( special needs program). Great cause if you can make it out.
Plus, you will see some great racing on the north course from the vintage crowd. Some great old race cars out there.

Question guys - on my way home from work (downtown to North Hills) the car just fell into "limp mode" i believe. Dash lit up with "Check Engine Soon" and car ran maybe 5 psi of boost and no more - I got the car to max at 50mph on 279 north. Managed to get it home, pulled off the negative battery terminal and cleared the CEL and drove car around neighborhood and its back to normal. My only engine mods are 3" intake and turbo back exhaust. I threw a code 2 weeks ago P0171 for "System too Lean", but that cleared itself out within a day and never fell into "limp mode" like it did today.
If I throw the code again and car falls into limp, I will pull the code and see whats exactly going on. I didn't think I would quite yet need a custom tune with simply an intake and exhaust. I was considering taking it up to Mike however it's late in the day and wanted to check it out myself before I ran it up to Baierl. I'm quite new to the Evo world, been a 4g63 guy for 6-7 years (dash was constantly lit on my 91 gsx).
Thanks for your time...
Brett
