Brant, good choice on the Full-Race. Can't beat the quality and the welds, or the lifetime warranty for that matter. Its tested and true, and I would take that over some of the home made manifolds I have seen floating around on the forums here recently.

HPC Manifold Coating
- Could have done the 1600 deg coating, but opted for the 2000 deg since it was the same price.

It certainly would be an expensive center piece for sure.

yeah, I was marveling at the welds. Almost too perfect.
Yeah the price quoted for everything + the lifetime warranty were big sellers.
Can't wait to get it on.

Every person that posted in response to yours has or had an EVO with 350 or more whp. Including Mondo. His first EVO was pretty hopped up if I recall. Just sayin'.

Still, go for it. What's the worst that could happen? You put a rod through the block on a near brand new car. Whoever is bankrolling you will likely give you a pat on the head and buy a new motor with all the trimmings. That's your concern. Not ours.

However, if I was in your shoes instead of berating these people I would read carefully. We've all been there, done that, got the T shirt with EVO's.

ah dude i just got my 3 bolt ons.

1. air intake
2. underbody neon lights
3. a sweet blow off valve that goes whooooooooosh

it's pretty hairy to drive day to day if i'm honest.

just wondering though, why do you wanna know? i don't recall saying one or way or the other about your build. i figured i would just stay quiet and then laugh when it tosses a rod through the hood.

I will, thanks for all the advice everyone. I will still shoot for 500wheel and I will achieve it, I do not set goals to fail. When it lets go it will get a full build. This car I bought with the intention of keeping forever.

Not that anyone cares but I will make the correction, I am the sole funder of this project. Those that do know me personally know I am not a spoiled little brat, just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't make a decent enough living to justify having a nice tuner car and fast motorcycle, espically considering the field i'm in. After all do you really consider the evo to be such an expensive and unattainable dream car?

I agree with all of this (minus the blatant sarcasm). Some of us are just breaking your *****, but seriously, I was just trying to be honest. I am not sure you would find a tuner in the area that would say that what you are doing is a good idea, and then strap it to their dyno and try to hit 500whp. If you don't believe me, call one of them, tell them your mods and how much you want to make and say you are going to be tracking it pretty good. I have a feeling they will say the same things that we are. Either build the internals of the block first, then go for all the power you want, or save up until you have enough to do it all at once. In the mean time, get yourself some suspension mods so you can have some fun and tear up the track, and then cash in on some big parts when you have enough money.

I won't comment anymore on what you want to do, and it is your money and you should do what makes you happy. All I was ever trying to get across is how ****ty you will feel if you just spent over 4k (most likely with that mod list) and then you blow it up and have to spend that again just to replace the longblock you trashed. I always air on the side of caution with these cars, I think it is a good idea. Don't you?

I said that about the first one I bought too.

I admit I assumed that you got a loan from Canexicans mom for at least the mods. EVO's aren't expensive at all to buy but they do eat hole in your wallet if you want to drive it AND modify it. At 20 most of us weren't fortunate enough to have careers that paid enough to buy an EVO. But as I posted above. That's your business.

At least you didn't buy a Subaru.
