Oh, and another good deal for people on the look out. Just picked up one of these at PepBoys on McKnight. http://www.amazon.com/Moeller-DuraMa.../dp/B000MT94QA

With my rewards card I only paid 80 for it. Now I don't have to go to Wexford for E-85 every other day, and it fits perfectly in the Evo trunk so you can take it up there on the fill up and your good for a little while.

Between 420-440whp pump and 500 e85 it should be lasting.

Also with the help/advice of all the evotelligent individuals in the burgh it should be a pretty good car.
You do realize you can run the 2000 high z injectors on pump gas right? I mean with as much as you seem to know your post here makes little to no sense on your injector choice vs. horsepower goals on E85. Not sure when you go with a smaller injector to run pump gas and then push to the limits on e85, most people select injectors for there ultimate goals so they don't buy them more than once or push the fuel system to the ragged edge.

the 2000's run great on pump gas - had them in my evo for a few weeks doing some tuning on them in daily driving duties for a friends track car. I ran them on pump gas and they were fine and basically the last injector one would ever need for a mean street machine.

best injector to get is the FIC2150 - same as the ID's but an all around better injector imo.....after the issues I had with my ID's I quit supporting them, FIC is the best way to go and you cannot beat there customer service. I run the FIC1100's and they are the best damn injector on the market for any setup that doesn't require the 2150's - period

That is sweet......depending on my cars future i may have to get one to keep at the house instead of the (2) container system I currently use.

What issues were you seeing with the ID's, Trav? If you don't mind my asking.

+1 on the smackdown... Having seen what it takes to get to the power level I am at (not very high), I never spit in the face of others with the similar goals.

Most on this forum can be pretty helpful, either at giving good advice on what to do with the car or knocking you off of your high horse when needed.

I was looking at that fuel caddy before. I am just about fed up with my 5 gallon "eco-friendly" cans that just force me to spill fuel all over the side of the car. Lemme know how it works for you. I've read mixed reviews on it.

I had the starting issues on my ID1000's.....everyone said it was my car and after finally dealing with it for a year I got fed up and bought the 1100's from FIC when they hit the market. Miraculously after installation my starting issues were gone for good.....

There have been quite a few switched from ID1000's to the FIC1100's and there problems went away. The 2000's were fine no start up issues but at this point I prefer the FIC lineup of the high-z injectors.

Warm start issues. After sitting for more than a half hour, mine takes a few cranks, a key cycle, and then a few more cranks. But once its been sitting more than 3-4 hours, it starts right up.

I also noticed that if it sits for a week, The first start isn't quick like it used to be, I didn't think it was gonna start last time (new battery too)

Not really a major issue to me tho.

Sheesh. That is tough. I have yet to see how she is going to start up in the winter on Ethanol, but I hope I don't have those issues. I have been lucky so far with warm/cold start ups and it fires up the first time. I ordered a high output mini battery for the winter so hopefully that helps too.

I have still been trying to iron out the idle and some small parts on the tune and I think I finally have things under control. I rarely had to touch that fuel table though, the timing is where it was off a bit.

Well, regardless, glad to hear you found an injector that fixed your issue.

I will let you know. I am not sure how I feel about the siphon pump being in the handle, I more like the design of the crank on the tank which builds the back pressure and forces it out. We will see how things go, but for the price I couldn't help but give it a shot. I was driving up to wexford twice a week for gas and I just hated having to do all of that after work.

If you don't have the warm start issues now you wont develop them - I had them from day one. If you do have hard starting in the cold on E85 just keep bumping up the IPW start first pulse adder, e85 takes a lot of fuel to fire in the cold so just keep cranking those numbers in the cold temps. (the table is vs. coolant temps)

that board is ridiculous. i was on there for about two weeks a couple years ago.

i stopped posting/reading it when i made a thread of a bunch of hot girls in bikinis that were washing my evo and then got flamed for 3 pages about how my car sucked and the girls were ugly.

they're a tough crowd to please.

That forum has really fallen on hard times. It's basically Mckeesport of the Internets.
