At least, but getting it up quickly isn't so important. It should be easy to use with 1 hand.

now the base the handle fits in can be laid flat, but it is spring loaded. so you would have to restrain it or otherwise have it held down for it to fit under 6". it would be a tight squeeze though.

aside from that the jack is pretty heavy, but it's a nice one. all aluminum and goes to full extension in only a few pumps (boy there's no way to talk about this with out it sounding funny, is there?).

it was only like $120 at costco.

you might want to look for something smaller though if you're thinking portability. i occasionally lug this thing around with me, but it's not fun. makes a great garage piece though.
Go to harbor freight in robinson - thats where I scored my race jack for around $170. Fits under a nicely-lowered car. 4 pumps and car is off the ground.

i 2nd harbor freight, I bought their $100 racing aluminum jack and it's fine. In fact it's on sale for $60 right now. Deal of the week, but buy the extra warranty

right on their front page: http://www.harborfreight.com/

well guys, bad news.

i am out for the cart track on the 10th.

on my way to work this morning i went to pass someone on 376 and the clutch started to slip.

i knew this day would be coming.

i even tried to plan for it, i ordered a clutch/flywheel combo from Gruppe-S about 10 days ago. unfortunately they have refused to respond to any of my calls or emails to confirm that they received my order or to verify the status of it. so now i have to go through the hell of a paypal dispute to get my money back before i can order another clutch.

what a nightmare.

hopefully i can get it sorted out quickly and get the parts i need to take to Magic Mike for install.

48,000 miles. not too shabby for a stock clutch in my opinion.

of course it would happen a little over a week before a race i was really looking forward to running though. but, so it goes with cars i suppose.

my buddy here in cleveland (owner of slickmotorsports ) normally stocks act's and /or exedys or gets them in one day and can swap them in 3-4 hrs as long as he has a core turned or upgraded flywheel and he is only two hours from ya. let me know if you want to get it done and back before the race!

Wow that sucks, but as you said, 48k for a stock clutch is pretty darn good. Sounds like Dave might have the hook up for you.

Yeah I'm going... Let's see how many more launches this stock clutch will handle. I may end up Mondoing myself...

Sounds good Tim, I hope to see you up there.

My clutch handled an "accidental" 5K launch last week and managed a 1.75 60' so I guess its still got some life in it... Not bad for 52K miles and several drag launches.
