me. Heck there are a few people that might put on a good show for fastest time. It's turning out to look like a fast car event.

Oh I believe Frank actually holds the fastest street tire time. But, I remember evodan putting up some good timed. If I remember, I think it was a 67.xxx.

We don't have that as an official record tho. Maybe we should?

If your curious about records they are on Steelcitys SCCA website.
Evodave runs 315/30/18 a6 hoosiers. Frank does have the fastest street tire time, but was in his sm evo.

Really wished I could make this event.

we can put together a "James May" award for the slowest normal daily driven evo if you like.
Looked at the Scca site and they have a fastest lap for each driver.

Dan Slezak 68.8
Paul 69.4
Me 70.2
Justin 70.8
Dave Perini 72.6

They show frank at 65.9 but not sure if thats street tires or slicks.

All pretty close, should be interesting since all the cars have been tweaked. I know I'll be running new suspension and tires since my last outting.

Consider the EBC Yellows. Running those now and they are awesome. Little noise after bedding in and does have some dust, but the bite is really really good.

No fade on the track.

don't worry guys i am saving the 315s for the pro solo event the weekend after so i won't be running them the 4th at the nora club challenge, the 10th at the TT or the 11th at the other nora event just trying to get used to the car again with the rear diff added is the only thing i am going to try to be doing i will be running tires about 1.5" smaller

i need to contact a trophy shop and see about getting that pose craved in to a high quality plastic figure to sit atop the deitzel cup instead of the bowl that's on there.

that's a classic pose.

I'm looking for a good quality floor jack. Want something I can use at the house or take it with me to races. When collapsed, must fit under 6" clearance.

Thoughts/suggestions?

If you get a chance to measure it, I'd be curious.

ok so the tallest part of the body of the jack (back by where the handle sits) is pretty much exactly 6 inches.

the base for the handle when in the upright position is 4" above that. so total 10".

now the base the handle fits in can be laid flat, but it is spring loaded. so you would have to restrain it or otherwise have it held down for it to fit under 6". it would be a tight squeeze though.

aside from that the jack is pretty heavy, but it's a nice one. all aluminum and goes to full extension in only a few pumps (boy there's no way to talk about this with out it sounding funny, is there?).

it was only like $120 at costco.

you might want to look for something smaller though if you're thinking portability. i occasionally lug this thing around with me, but it's not fun. makes a great garage piece though.
