If your buying a house sold by a sellers agent its in your best interest to find a buyers agent IMO. In this situation the sellers pay the commission, you don't. Its all dependent on either the the commission % gets split or all to one party...

Now if you find a for sale by owner and you use a buyer agent to represent u then you may have to come to an agreement on who pays your agent during the initial sellers agreement.....

Our agent was referred to us from my fiances boss but you can pick any agent you want or if you submit a request to see a house usually a agent will contact you and you decide if u want to use them or not. We had an agent that responded to us first and we HATED her - very pushy, etc. Then we got referred to Rachel and she was awesome - we didn't have to sign any paperwork with her until we found a house, the other lady we had to sign a contract upfront (F-that).

Just be weary we found some Realtor Firms have some hidden costs in the contract that are a joke......like Northwood wanted us to pay them 275.00 to store our records? (that was who our first agent that contacted us worked for). Our agent works with Stone Bridge, they did not require any additional fees.

Buying a house is a good time
