So I'm trading in the '08 GSR tomorrow to pick up an '11 GSR. Spent 5 hours this evening putting the red monster back to stock, and by monster I mean 3 mods.
I'm too lazy to put the stock swaybars back on and install the factory springs.

On a sidenote, anyone have another meet in mind? Preferably an establishment that serves alcohol like the last one? Maybe QSL Robinson?

Let me know if you want the stock springs/sway bars as they are still sitting up in my attic! If you haven't already traded the car in, I would definitely consider keeping the Cobb stuff- I thought it made for a significant improvement vs. the stock suspension.

If you are trading it in have them do the swap at n/c as part of the deal

Well that would be an expensive smell.

 

I go back and forth about getting an evo x pretty often.

The SAWC alone would make for a compelling reason to upgrade. But the seats suck and it's only a five speed. I don't think I could go back to the five speed box.

 

I loved the 6 spd in my MR. I had to have it replaced with under 4000 miles on it but still, after it was fixed it was like butter. I did miss that going to the X. But the seats, IMO, were more comfortable in the X.

I had mixed feelings with the SAWC. Sometimes it was a bit too nanny-ish, but the AYC was worth its weight in gold alone.

 

14 miles later and I'm home. My reason for getting the 2011 is my 08 GSR was the very base model. Now I've got HIDs, Fastkey, and the '10+ gauge cluster is now full color and not red led. I also wanted a less flashy color so I went with the graphite gray.

I will take some this weekend. By the time I had the winter tires transferred and the new TPMS programmed it was dark outside. More than likely will wait until spring to start the modding process.
