Other then that though, great point.

Modified what? Coilovers? Winter tires?

So instead, this one you have now is the greatest on Earth? Just like you said about the previous 3? Will you be running this modified beast anywhere other than 3 miles of the Parkway? How did it cost you enough to keep running if it was under warranty?

Go crazy there big guy! Mod away!! Maybe do some sweet fluid changes

I believe I have a front motor mount already. Wouldn't mind seeing it though. It's been so long since I think I modded it that I can't remember if it was replaced or not - can't imagine I'd leave that motor mount stock.

Not Mike at South Park - that is an impostor. You need Mike at Baeirl Mitsubishi. You got a PM.

Dave, I was talking to Mike Sabina earlier and he mentioned that you were possibly looking to remove the ABS from your car. As it turns out I am looking to add ABS to my RS. Maybe we could look into working out a deal and swapping all the necessary parts to help each other out? If you want to talk over the phone, I can have Mike give you my #.

Frank
Frank, not a bad idea. You've got a PM.

Here is a picture. It's a lot smaller then the stock mount but fits and works the same. Since you are literally scraping ounces out of the car I figured you might want it.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The RS non abs was really great to live with by the way. I never missed it except that one time on the kart track when I went off and left a nice set of skid marks when I locked up the wheels. It's actually better in the winter around town because the ABS doesn't get fussy.

Yeah Dave, if you can hold onto it for me for a little bit that would be great. I'll have to take a look at mine to make sure its not stock.

Just out of curiousity, who in here runs E85 in the winter or up to the winter, and at what point are cold starts difficult or impossible to tune around?

Thanks

No problem. It'll make a nice paperweight. Just let me know if you don't want it so I can get rid of it.

Most aftermarket ones press into the stock mount. The most common being the purple powerflex one.

that mount is pretty sturdy. i bet you could take a grinder to it and remove a bit more metal if you were so inclined and not lose any of the stability.

I still have all stock enging mounts. Never had a problem. Well, except that i had an engnine dampner and cracked it off. I didn't realize that was a required mod.

For anyone interested in getting out on a TRACK! . This is probably about as cheap as your going to get for a track day.

There is also the realtime attack in NJ in a few weeks.

I may try and go out and do that one.

Sorry I just assumed your car would have had all solid mounts. Maybe you can arm wrestle for it?
