Good race i am the owner of the EVO 8. I need to get some better tires lol. I was spinning bad with these all seasons Up to 40 mph. Plus having to shift this act at 7800 doesnt help either. Jim is a hell of driver and is very consistent. Jim what does your car trap in the 1/8 th?
I am impressed how well the bigger turbo pulls on the top end...I have to start saving my money for the bigger turbo for next year...
Yep...think about a better clutch when the time comes to replace it...

Dave, I was talking to Mike Sabina earlier and he mentioned that you were possibly looking to remove the ABS from your car. As it turns out I am looking to add ABS to my RS. Maybe we could look into working out a deal and swapping all the necessary parts to help each other out? If you want to talk over the phone, I can have Mike give you my #.

Okay so I went digging through the basement today for CT9A stuff.
I found a front motor mount if anyone wants it. You don't have to press it in it comes with the mount. I don't even remember what car I had this on. Maybe the RS?
Three OEM oil filters and a bag of bolts, washers, gaskets clamps and other stuff that came off my cars over the years.
Anyway, if anyone wants this stuff you can have it. If you want to make a donation to me for it, even better.
I also have the original looking tactrix cable. Does anyone know if this works with the X? If not concept gets first dibs.

I kind of wonder about the modifying the X. This thing has computer controls for just about everything that makes the car go, turn and stop. I would think that those programs were written with the power level the car came with in mind. I wonder if messing with it would throw these programs off.
It's probably not that fancy but I must admit I do wonder. Hell lots of people mod these things are surely the cars are faster.

Who are you trying to convince Dave? What mods did you do on the last one (or the one before that) that you're just itching to do on the X? You got rid of the IX because you were afraid to have a car out of warranty, but you're going to modify this one and lose the warranty on a brand new car?
You will continue to post and pretend you're going to mod so that you get asked about the car. You will never mod it, just like always.
